Random Deadly/Link Headcanons cuz I ship whoever I want
They formerly met at Rowlf’s tavern(or any bar) when Piggy was trying to find Deadly a boyfriend. While she was looking for more men, Deadly went over to the bar, ordered a drink, and started sulking. Then, Link, who’s sitting next to him, would start to make small talk and the two actually do end up talking. The two are both surprised their conversation is so easy since they’ve only seen the other a few times. Not to mention, Deadly always thought Link was a narcassistic jerk (according Piggy’s rants about him) and Link always thought Deadly was just Piggy’s subsirvient personal assistant/henchman with no real personality(yes, they actually do say this to one another). It’s defenitely a “Hey, you may appear to be a jerk, but you’re actually not so bad once someone gets to know you ” moment. Then Link would be like “You wanna get out of here?” and Deadly would be all “Absolutely” and they both leave leaving Piggy looking absolutely mortified
They’d start hanging out as friends at first, but the more they talk to each other, the more they realize they developed feelings for each other
Deadly’s the one to ask Link out on the first date....to which Link immediately becomes a shy and flustered mess (like he was with Lesley Ann Warren in “Last Dance”, but he somehow manages to say yes)
The two are AWESOME dance partners. As good as Zoot and Janice
Deadly calls Link “Linkie-poo”. Sometimes in public, which really embarrasses Link cuz he still wants to appear “manly”. Strangepork and Johnny think it’s hilarious, Link and Piggy do not
Oh, speaking of which, Johnny and Strangepork are TOTAL wingmen for Link’s relationship
Link tries to act brave and more masculine than usual in front of Deadly, but is downright TERRIFIED of Blind Pew(and all the other muppirates) and usually hides behind Deadly for protection. When the cousins fight, Link would be seen rooting for his boyfriend, but at the same time, he’d look at the muppirates and be like “Please don’t kill me”
Unlike Piggy, Wayne is more accepting at first of the relationship. Although Wayne DID tell him to be careful with guys like him. But Deadly assured him Link was harmless so it’s fine
Deadly and Link both talk about fashion and try on new outfits for each other
Link also joins Deadly and Wayne when the two are making outfits for Piggy. He has the best ideas for designs
Deadly once dressed up in a space suit and Link just forgot how to breathe right then and there
Their first kiss was that cliche accidental kiss on their first date. Link tripped on something and landed on Deadly’s lips and then they just melted into each other
At first, Link didn’t understand interspecies couples in general. Guess what? He does now!
Link instantly fell in love with Piggy’s pets and now he and Deadly treat Gloria Estefan as their child
