In a royal traditional way, turning 20 years old means next heir to the throne, whether it's a twin like Prince Sun & Moon, a triplet, or a quadruplet. Their parents strategically face the death after being defeated by the "Crystal Empire."

Both Prince Sun and Moon are supposed to be the new rulers of the Celestia Kingdom, but Moon wants to rule all by himself by threatening the councils of nobles to make Prince Sun the court jester. Of course, they wouldn't do that, but Prince Sun accepts it for the sake of their own life. 3 years later of being the court jester means being treated unfairly by the people in the castle (except the councils of nobles), which is quite challenging, barely getting any days off, not to mention living in the small room in the basement? That's harsh.

King Moon ruled for 5 years, a ruthless, strict, demanding king, they say, who often forced people to do his disturbing tasks. Despite being cold and unfriendly to everyone, including Jester Sun, he always had a secret soft spot for the Royal Sorcerer named "Kenneth."
