photos by Roy Blakey
if only you knew, how much i want this shot with feather cape, i even pick a the perfect spot on the wall, near my desk (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥)
but anyhow, jokes aside, this was shot somewhere in between ‘76 and ‘78. according to the article that telling the story of After Dark magazine, where Roy Blakey was working at the time, the photos were taken as a promo and possible cover for Ellen's album (which was never released). although one of the photos that was taken at the time was still used for her 2004 album “In His Eyes”.
what I personally like about these photos is that they seem timeless. you can clearly see the 70's style, but still feel some of the glamour of old hollywood.
