No mans sky already has a lot of the main basic mechanics of sburb:
Itβs got the random galaxy/ planet formations that are unique (unique player planets that are randomly generated but could be controlled better with a peorsbaliry test before loading?)
the biomes and weather are procedurally genrated, raw materials (possible grist types) are random and vary from planet to planet
Multiplayer aspect is already present by characters spawning in different planets
Survival elements such as building and expanding your base (building your house upwards?)
Possibility of travelling to other galaxies/ universes which could emulate having a scratch
Character customisation!
Each planets have their own unique fauna (denizens?) and unique buildings and structures and colonies
The space stations can be treated as the dreamer planets with their own markets and inhabiabtats that can be the carpacians
On planet teleporters are basically sburb gates
Alchemy is already a existing mechanic in the game and is used to create objects and weapon upgrades (could be explanded upon to create the literal weapons themselves)
