Character Outline

A talented young doctor and the member of Agiona in charge of scientific research.  Governs all academies and the royal library, regulating and controlling the world’s knowledge. (*28) He possesses an extraordinary intellect but a cold and cruel face, taking pleasure in unethical practices such as human experimentation. There are those who see him as a threat, even within Agiona. (*29) Uses a gun, which is rare for a person of Aria Te’laria.

 TOMOSUKE’s Commentary

His full name is Rouven Kaempfert. Aria Te’laria’s biggest sadist. He’s fond of human experimentation, which is how Lien’s father Breselenz ended up as one of his victims. There’s a scene in the drama CD where Lyudmil is shot and wounded by Rouven, but I think it’s likely he then took him back to use for experiments…

In any case, he’s honest about his desires. He doesn’t show any real interest in the ancient ruins either, despite being a member of Agiona, and is extremely selfish, completely devoted to his own interests. Despite being a heinous mad scientist, he’s surprisingly popular among women? (laughs)

 *28: The imprisonment of Lien’s father Breselenz was also his doing. Missing people are treated as subjects for human experimentation.
