Ingredients: 1 medium-sized cabbage, shredded. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced. 1 can 10 oz Rotel tomatoes with green chilies, undrained. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon paprika. Salt and black pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: Put vegetable oil in a large skillet and heat it over medium-high heat. Put smoked sausage and sliced onion in the pan. Saut the sausage and onions until the onions are clear and the sausage is browned. Shred the cabbage and add it to the pan. Add the sausage and onion mixture and stir it in well. Add black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the cabbage mix. Do a thorough mix. Put the Rotel tomato can on top of the cabbage. The tomatoes should be mixed in by stirring the mixture. Cover the pan and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring every now and then, until the cabbage is soft.
