          Craig wonders if that is what happened to Tweek.  It must be, but that doesn’t make it any easier to stomach.

          “Yeah, but does it have to change them so much?” he says bitterly, pouting and crossing his arms.  Tweek’s anxiety makes him anxious, and it hurts and sucks to deal with in general.  They used to be better friends than they are now, before they spent quite so much time together.  Apparently, Agnes has talked to Tweek a little, and she must sympathize with him, but that doesn’t exactly get Craig his friend back.

( STARVING , HE REMEMBERS THAT , TO BE HUNGRY IS THE CLEAREST MEMORY , HIS FIRST FEELING ) now this was before the party , there was so much war ; or was the war a part of the party ? he couldn't be sure , winston could never be sure anymore . though it leads him down the path of wondering if comfortable is even a word , he knows it exists ; but when the meaning no longer exist , does that mean the word loses all reason to exist ? what's the point of a word existing , when it now means nothing .

it's then he feels it , a million razors sharp against the surface of skin , having to fight against the stiffening of his body ; TO REACT WOULD MEAN GUILT , AS FAR AS ANYONE IS AWARE , HE ISN'T GUILTY AT ALL . winston had long since familiarised himself with the sensation of being watched , he was never alone , nobody was except in sleep , even then the subconscious takes over &. was just as dangerous as being awake ; an exhausted mind is a true one .

but the people were just as watchful as the telescreens , they were worse ; much more violent &. sneaky . winston reminds himself that they can't reach inside &. pluck out a thought , even if it was always safe to assume so , but caution doesn't make it true . he dragged his eyes from what he was doing , slow , cautious before finding someone now approaching , gaze too focused on his own .
