If you can't tell, I am still bitter!
Back, when I still hadn’t finished Morning Star I made a list of Howler Headcanons about what was happening on Pluto (with some Institute Headcanons thrown in. So that’s why I am talking about all of them as if they were still around) over on my Main Blog. I decided to rewrite them here, because.. why not. Also, these Headcanons are very random... and just Headcanons, don’t come for my head. 😂
Screwface is the tallest of the Howlers
Pebble is the mom-friend. (this part was approved by Darrow in Iron Gold). She will give you food when you’re hungry. She will take care of you when you are hurt/sick. And she will definitely whoop your ass when you do something stupid without her
Screwface has perfect teeth. (#Matteoapproves) but his smile is so wide/ he shows so many teeth while smiling, that it kinda makes him look like a horse
Harpy doesn’t take shit from nobody. You could try, but you would die.
Cuddles lots of cuddles ... A Howler-Puppy-Pile (Pluto is a cold planet and I am soft!)
They forced Sevro to cut his fingernails once - he hasn’t forgiven them yet
On Pluto, they invented a drinking game which involved standing on one foot while balancing a bottle on your head. However, the rules were forgotten after they played it once
During the institute, they had at least one snowball fight
Weed loves to sing
Weed couldn’t hit the right notes if his life depended on it - he is utterly tone-deaf
Harpy and Thistle go on regular hunts to ‘spot the perfect booty’
Thistle accidentally knocked Rotback out cold once, while opening a jar
Rotback woke up with a black eye, not remembering how he got it - nobody ever told him the truth
Teasing about certain crushes in on the daily
Where there is one Howler another is never far away
Pebble was the first to approach Sevro back in the institute
Weed was the last to figure out that Fitchner is Sevros Father (”He called him ‘son’, you idiot!” - “I thought it was a generic term of affection...” - “We’re talking about Fitchner!”)
Screwface and Clown have an ongoing bet about who’s able to tell the worst pun/joke
Clown is surprisingly good at painting
Did I mention cuddles?
They had a prank war on Pluto. Nobody was safe, nobody talks about it
Fellow Howlers are used as pillows and there is no complaining

I've gone over to referring to the original Howlers (Sevro, Pebble, Weed, Screwface, Clown, Harpy, Thistle and I guess Rotback even tho he's not mentioned in the first book - technically Quinn and Lea are listed as original members but I never got that impression during the first book, so I don't know about those two🤔) as "the pack" for myself, because I get easily confused. So when I talk about the "Pack" or "Wolfpack", by accident these are who I mean 😂
Send me your Howler Headcanons, if you have any! Pebble, Clown, Weed, Screwface, Harpy, Rotback, even Thistle. I am desperate to talk about them. They may be secondary characters for the most part, bit damn I love them! 💖💖🐺💖💖
Also yes I started Dark Age but I'm not that far into it, so no spoilers yet ^^
