I've received a new succulent, it's green but half of it has a brownish color. I was told that it was sunburn so I was not too worried but when I reported it a lot of the leaves fell off and they were very mushy. Some were even a a little black. I'm now very worried this could possibly rot. Does it sound like sunburn? It's mostly on one half of the plant.
I would honestly need to see a picture at least to be able to tell you. Mushy is not a good sign but some bad sunburns do make leaves go mushy. If the stem is clear of any discoloration you might be fine, but sometimes rot can hide inside it.

Yeah I can see it doing something for cracks at least cosmetically; I think the viral video had a plate that was literally broken in half though lol
