i had been selfshipping ever since my first tangible memory. butโฆ i only just recently realized i was aroace, and that not only explained certain behaviors of mine but also madd me realize that the f/os i used to call โromanticโ were notโฆ actually romantic.
more like, looking up to an advisor or ruler and craving their attention & affections. and it took me so long to realize i was aroace cuz of how affectionate i can be to anyone i care about.
idk what to call it now that i know itโs not romantic. platonic? familial? some other term i dont know? its a strong attachment but definitely nothing sexual eitherโฆโฆ
