"for bad" and whichever q you havent answered yet and want to — for alfihri ofc ! 🥰
For Bad: Is there anyone who had an undeniable negative impact on your OC’s life? How did your OC deal with that change? Have they been able to move on?
yeah! this would be the emperor. spoilers for the very end of the game!
afhiri went for the free orpheus ending of the game - i did rewrite the ending to fill in a gap i felt was missed with the emperor, however.
so, in afhiri's canon, afhiri and the emperor were lovers. further than what the game showcased, they were an item and it wasn't just one night of sex or small moments of vulnerability. the emperor came to afhiri every night, and they were share intimacies together of many types.
when the final decision came on trusting the emperor or freeing orpheus, afhiri was immensely stuck. this was a decision where afhiri turned to her friends, and it wasn't their choice.
this angered the emperor, who realised then that he had been focusing on the wrong person from the get go, and that afhiri would fold under pressure of choice.
afhiri looked to her companions, and the most dominant voice rose up with no arguments from anyone. and that was lae'zel. so the decision was made to free orpheus with no commentary from afhiri.
the emperor, angry, hurt, betrayed, asked afhiri why. after everything they had been through together, everything they shared, everything he gave her, why they did not stand up in this one moment for it. and afhiri said two words.
"trust me."
now i'm conflicted on this part - i can't decide if from here i should follow the canon of the emperor leaving and joining the brain, or if i should rewrite it to the emperor staying. either way. woof

abt ur pc question! honestly in most cases id say it rly is just elitist snobbery lmao. the only downside to buying pre-built is that there's often times a mark-up on the price, so it's up to you if the trade off is worth the convenience. some people claim that pre-builts use second rate parts too but honestly ive had MY pre-built for like 6 years now and ive never had an issue outside of needing to replace a part or two. and mine was quite cheap as well so ! if ur interested in a pre-built i'd def say go for it <3
ty for this tay! honestly that's what i assumed was the case, but everywhere i look people always seem to be so against prebuilt that it made me think there was something genuinely wrong with them 🤣 not to mention so many of the sites are so us-centric that three quarters of the websites/retailers don't even exist here in aus lol.
if you don't mind me asking, what brand pc do you have? there's just so many out there - idek where to start looking.
righteous and/or harsh whisper for the story prompts ! 🥰
Benita had never been anything less than righteous.
It was why, against all established tradition, Maelstrom Cynthia had pulled her from her father’s corpse and brought her to the temple by the nebula. She was preordained, a fixture in a primordial prophecy that the Maelstroms only spoke of in hushed whispers. She would be the one to change the Themi, to change the galaxy, and usher in a new era of justice and peace.
Benita was inevitable.
It should not have come as a surprise to the Council, then, when she had knelt at the foot of their platinum thrones, ready to assume command of Themi. Maelstrom Cynthia had groomed her for her role for over a decade, and Benita, ever the prodigy, had never faltered in her education. She came to them with a divine revelation, with the knowledge of why their God in the nebula had chosen a streetrat to usher in the new dawn instead of one of them. The Themi were flawed, and she knew how to correct their course.
The Council had ordered her execution.
Benita pressed her hand harder against the Warbird’s throat, his life pouring out with his blood. It stained her hands and clothes, mingling with the red already on her white vestments. She ran a hand over his sweaty brow, gently shushing him as an agonized moan tore from his mouth.
She was a killer, not a healer. There was nothing more to offer him other than petty comforts.
This should have been an internal matter, settled with fists and spears against her and the Maelstroms. She had been so confident in her divinity, in the words that were murmured from every corner of the temple when she would return from a hunt. But the conflict had bloated, and the Mandate and their putrid soldiers had stained this holy ground with their breath and blood.
“What are your orders, Benita?” a Warbird breathed beside her, her hand opening and closing around her spear. They had followed her, blinded by her pure promises for the future, bright-eyed and pious. One by one, they were picked off, their sins staining them red as the Themi and the Mandate troops advanced on their stronghold. All of Benita’s prayers to a God who would not answer would not change the outcome. A war of virtue had devolved into a strict numbers game, and Benita did not have the manpower needed to win.
“Sound the retreat.” Her voice was barely a harsh whisper, the words burning her throat and staining her teeth as she choked them out. She had held off as long as she could, clinging desperately to any line of the Code that she had not spat in the face of, but there was no delaying it any longer. If they died here, the cause of the war would die with them. She had to reform the Themi, there was no other option.
For what other reason would she be preordained?
A gasp rippled through the tiny unit huddled around her. Benita wondered how many of them would fight against their ingrained instincts and follow the order. She had already condemned her followers to death at the hands of the Themi. With a single command, she had condemned their souls and stripped them of any remaining honor. To fight, to die with your spear in hand, was a better alternative to living with your back turned on the conflict.
She did not wait for a response. She closed the man’s eyes, his breath long dead in his lungs, and lifted him from her lap. Spear in hand, she stood, leaving the unit behind her as she trudged deeper into the jungle. None of them followed.
Benita could not remember why they had once called her righteous.
🌹“A hot compress will help the bruises, and some ibuprofen for the pain.” He mumbles idly like it’s a list, having done this exact same thing half a dozen times—he’s too comfortable with the motions, but they’re all together different under Mason’s watchful worried eyes.
She leans forward, arms resting on the table in front of her as she smiles warmly.
“As shallow as this is going to sound, she’s gorgeous. More than that though, that entire first day...she has such a warmth about her.” Tabitha looks away, the tips of her ears going pink. “I mean, she didn’t have to step in to shut Clarence up and then everything that happened after, picking me and Sally up from the hospital...”
Once more her posture gentles, eyes going soft. “She’s the poet between the two of us, but it was very much a spark that caught tinder and then became a slow burning bonfire.” Tabby winks and says, “I’m real glad the super hot upperclassman decided to step in that first day.”
The ringing sound of Glitch yelling, “and I’d do it again without hesitation!” echoes down the hall.
Tabitha’s entire face flushes as she looks over her shoulder with a smile.

19 and 28 for judith ! and then 73 for miss lane xx
thank you so much for asking aaaaaaaa
for judith:
19. What’s their unusual quirk?
i don’t know how unusual it is but humor (like dry witty remarks) as a means of deflecting is so ingrained in judith’s reactions and how she connects to people that it’s very jarring when she levels out and holds a truly genuine conversation. she sees like real emotional honesty as inflicting further vulnerability on herself so if there is a way that she can shield herself at all she kind of clings to it
uh that and she puts every 7/11 free slurpie day on a calander to prepare accordingly
28. Describe their morning routine.
on a work/class day it’s usually very chaotic. loud music while she hurries through makeup, quickly fills a travel mug w coffee and too much irish cream, makes sure all of the paperwork she has to bring with her is in order and running for the bus
on a day off she lays in bed until 1 pm, gets up and goes to her favorite coffee shop probably still in pajamas to sit and vibe
for lane:
73. Are they more book smarts, or street smarts?
lane is decently book smart! she has a masters degree in forensic science. that being said—she grew up essentially bouncing from neighbors’ house to neighbors’ house; her street smarts and understanding of people is a pretty broad scope that she’s had to rely on much more so than any of her scientific understanding thus far
“are you planning to gawk at me for the rest of the day?” he snaps, suddenly defensive in the face of her silence, and this is where annabel should laugh (‘i can think of worse ways to waste my time, handsome’) but still she only stares.
