East Contra Costa Fire Sends Unit to Ventura County to Fight Wildfires

Just before 11:30 am Friday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was informed that a Strike Team was needed to head down to Ventura County to battle two fires which had burned a combined 21,000 acres.

According to CALFIRE, the Woolsey Fire had burned 14,000 acres while the Hill Fire has burned 6,100 acres. It is unclear which fire local firefighters will placed on.
