Sometimes Tara has a nightmare or can’t sleep because she’s remembering something from the past or because she’s scared something happened to someone she loves. One time, when Willow was trying everything to help her go back to sleep, Tara mentioned that when her mother was alive she would sing for Tara to get her back to sleep. Willow, very self-conscious of her singing voice, didn’t dare try until she had already made chamomile tea and lit soothing candles. She was stroking Tara’s hair and trying to soothe her, and just as she was getting sleepy again, Willow began to quietly sing to her. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine…”
Tara fell asleep with a smile on her face.

Like seriously, all it takes is seeing one gif or picture of Tara Maclay and I still get this reaction in my gut thinking about what her character meant to me growing up.
