The sun was blazing, the music was loud, and the pool at Felix and Oswald’s house was full of life. Donald, Daisy, Minnie, and Mickey were happily swimming laps and splashing each other. Goofy sat under the umbrella with Max and Rosco, all three of them demolishing a tray of snacks like they hadn’t eaten in days.

At the bar, Alex and Sheba clinked their glasses, talking quietly while enjoying their drinks.

Meanwhile, Oswald was in full model mode. He stood in one of the corners of the pool, water up to his waist, striking elegant poses. His hair was tied in a high bun that must not be touched by water under any circumstances. Felix stood outside the pool, snapping pictures like the devoted photographer he was.

“Hold still, love,” Felix said, adjusting the camera. Oswald tilted his head. “This angle will look elegant. Make sure the picture is perfect.”

Everything was calm… until Mickey had an idea.

He swam over to Donald and whispered, “Hey, Don, let’s do a cannonball!”

Donald grinned instantly. “OH BOY LET’S DO IT!”

Oswald turned around slowly, eyes narrowing. “No. Don’t you dare. Mickey Mouse, I swear—”

But Mickey was already climbing the pool ledge.

“No. NO. MICKEY. MICKEY—”

SPLAAAAASH!!

The wave hit Oswald full force, soaking him from head to toe. His bun sagged. His ears drooped. His soul left his body.

“Oh no…” Mickey squeaked.

Oswald inhaled sharply… and then:

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MICKEYYYYY!!”

He launched himself across the pool like a torpedo.

Mickey screamed and started swimming for his life. “I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY—!!”

Everyone burst into laughter.

Felix immediately moved, catching Oswald around the waist before he could grab Mickey. Oswald kept kicking in the air, pointing furiously.

“LET ME AT HIM, FELIX! HE RUINED MY HAIR!”

Felix held him tight, trying not to laugh. “Love, calm down— it’s okay— it’s just water—”

Oswald growled totally angry.

Alex raised his drink toward Mickey and said in a calm, heavy voice, “You are dead mouse, my friend.”

Mickey squeaked in horror and dove behind Minnie, hugging her for protection.

Daisy whispered to Donald, “Five bucks says Oswald catches him before dinner.” Donald snorted. “Ten says Felix has to drag him off Mickey.”

Goofy laughed, “Hyuk! I’m bettin’ he’ll just yeet Mickey into the bushes!”

Sheba clapped her hands. “Oh this is going to be good.”

Felix kept drying Oswald’s dripping hair with a towel while Oswald continued plotting revenge.

“Mickey is NOT surviving the night,” Oswald muttered darkly.

“Angel,” Felix sighed, hugging him from behind, “he’s already terrified enough.”
