first is get your fundamentals down!! study and practice your principles of design and colour theories :”) style will come naturally to you as you go along this process. I think the key thing is to be open to experiment. Try out other people’s styles that inspire you, learn about details that you like in particular, understand why they did what they did.  Take baby steps. Don’t go straight for making a crazy composition. take a weirdly shaped fruit or veg and cut it in half then draw it (and then eat it). Try small things first, then work your way up :) At least that’s my advice. Here’s my art progression if that can give some context.
