I'd love to request from your Christmas card a ROR x reader, preferably fem but I don't mind. Specifically with Apollo (and if you want to do others I'd love it for also Ares, Zerofuku, Hades, Poseidon and Thor🤭)

Basically reader is like associated with winter, as a God preferablyy, and when the season comes around they're VERY festive. You know putting up decorations and the tree, baking cookies and hot chocolate, already bought so many presents and it's only like November lol

Anyways how do the gods react? Do they help out? Are they on the same level as reader or think they're overdoing it loll🫶🫶🫶

This is so adorable! I relate with her so much, and I’m sure she would be wonderful to watch and work with throughout the holiday!

I wrote only about Apollo (primarily because I underrated how many tasks I would have to tend to, sorry about that), and it was a grand opportunity to dig into his personality.

Apollo could hear the jingles and the shuffling of leaves from the vast outdoor garden. “It’s time, isn’t it?” He smiles and shakes his head when he steps into the veranda for a closer look. “Come on, Timora, we have to ensure that everything is angled properly! Otherwise, we could risk having the ornaments appear lopsided.”

“I’m trying, Mrs.” The young elf gasps, balancing her hat as she brushed snow off of the basket containing the trinkets while she placed individual pieces on the tree. “I know, Sugarplum, but we must make haste. We should be done before Saint Nicholas gets here.”

“Shall I help, Darling? After all, more hands will get the job done sooner.” You don’t even have to say another word, he’s already floating above you to trim the last bits of the trees.

“Thank you so much, Honey. The edges do need to be adjusted.”

[Name] spreads tinsel of red, green and gold around the tree once he’s done, adding the final touches.

“So, what do you think?” [Name] excitedly whispers, gently holding Timora in her arms and sparing her some candy in apology. Timora huffs for a moment before smiling slightly at the taste of caramel.

“I want everything to be perfect. Everyone deserves that.” You chuckle, and look up at the tree which brings cheer with its bright lights.

“You exceed my expectations every year, [Name]. You only get better and better; I adore you.” Apollo reassures, brushing his lips across your cheek to your nose, where a brief kiss is made. His firm arm is wrapped around your form and sinks you further into his warmth.

[☆]Apollo would be enthusiastic about his partner’s adoration for the holiday. This is likely because of his appeal and attraction to beauty, which Christmas is a huge reflection of. Watching [Name] decorate every inch of his domain, the smell of gingerbread and icing in the air and loud Christmas mixes with the classic bells, harmonious tunes and piles of gifts will leave him with a thrill to see how well she’ll do that year and the extent she will go to ensure she has played her role well. He loves her dedication and aspires to be as passionate.

[☆] He is amazing at wrapping presents, and it is a bonding time for the both of them! They’ll analyse why a gift is perfect for an individual, and Apollo’s wonderful handwriting and bows are the cherry on top! [Name] believes that she has perfected the art of wrapping bows, and does feel that Apollo’s consistently creative designs are a silly way to show off. (She appreciates them and observes his movements for practice and perfection)

Okita Souji

“He’ll be alright.” Brunhilde reassures her sister as they walk to Okita’s room a few hours after his discharge from the infirmary.

His strive to “give it all he had”, often implied that impressions left him with a new perspective. The battle with Susano’o was no different.

“You’re right. Perhaps I’m worried over nothing.” Goll sighs, rubbing her knuckles with a frown.

“We’re here, and judging by the dusty footsteps on the ground, so are the Shinsengumi members.” Goll chuckles at the remark, and Brunhilde smirks, glad she’s brushed off her worries.

“Don’t be rude, dear sister. It’s natural” A voice rings out with a giggle, and a body steadies itself to the ground in front of them.

“Skalmold. I expected you in there.” Brunhilde playfully rolls her eyes, brushing off her banter. “An errand needed my attention, but I’m glad we can view Souji’s progress together.” Skalmold responds, and walks to the front door.

“I expect improvement.” Brunhilde states, and with a light knock, the door is opened.

Inside, it is quiet for a moment as the three women process the sight across them.

[Name]’s hand is gently wrapped around another, and her other palm rests on Okita’s forehead, checking his temperature. Her eyes are filled with worry, her mouth frowning, and a quick ‘thanks’ fall from her lips when a Shinsengumi member hands her a cold towel.

Brunhilde and Goll’s eyes fall between one another and Skalmold, collectively in amazement.

“How…” Brunhilde utters, attempting to cover but her expression remains all the same. Goll and Skalmold sputter over their words, ranging between “Mother-” “Is this-” with their hearts racing.

“I’ll explain.” [Name] says, looking up at them with a smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes, and her fluster is obvious. They are further perplexed by the smooth manner in which Okita squeezes her hand, and turns her attention back to him.

“Are you… acquainted with one another?” Brunhilde starts off, her tone slow and unsure. Beside her, Goll and Skalmold are sat, awaiting their mother’s response with bated breaths. “Yes, I am.”

For the first time in their lives, they watched as their mother's features contorted into fluster, looking away for a moment.

“Why?”

“I thought the human was adorable and, um, hot.” [Name] admits with a soft pout, face flushed with embarrassment. Brunhilde lifts her brow at the casual language, but chooses not to comment.

“I’m happy for you.” Goll states, beaming brightly at her mum with an excited giggle. “Okita’s a grand choice for a partner.” Skalmold states, moving closer to hug [Name]. They all join in the embrace, chucking softly at the relived sigh the goddess makes.

“I’m so glad you’re alright with this. I care about you all so much. You girls mean much more to me than I can utter.” [Name] brushes off a tear with a smile. Brunhilde softly brushes a fingernail over her face, and adjusts a ribbon back into its place within her headgear.

“We know, and we care for you so much. Okita better treat you well.” [Name] laughs at that, and shakes her head. “He will, my fierce one.”

Buddha

“We ought to prepare ourselves for hours of gloating.” “He won the match, just as he promised.”

Brunhilde and Goll walk to Buddha’s room within the infirmary, discussing the battle that took place. Buddha’s victory was a needed win for humanity, but the god’s retaliation needed preparation.

“The gods will be unforgiving for this.” Goll states, sighing at the tension evident in the air as the gods jeers remain loud in the distance. “Yes, they will be. Zerofuku’s rage did seem like a formidable force in their favour.” Brunhilde responds, and steps through the open doors of Buddha’s section.

“No need to dote over me, precious one.” The girls are stunned by the sight in front of them. [Name]’s palm, previously placed on top of Buddha’s head, is held onto and dropped to her lap by his own.

“Funny seeing you here, Brunhilde.” The woman’s glare stung him, and he turned to her with a small smile. Brunhilde’s eyes slightly soften when she turned to her mother, whose face flushed when their eyes met. “I’m humoured.”

“What intentions do you have with my mother?” [Name] wishes she were able to cut the tension between the two parties. She opens her mouth to persuade, but Buddha tightens his hold on her hand, signalling her to let him talk.

“I’m enamoured by her.” Goll gasps in surprise, looking between the two. Brunhilde’s eye slightly twitches, not convinced. “If you’re trying to mess with her—”

“No, he’s honest.” [name] interjects between the two, looking at Brunhilde. “We’re in a relationship. Together.” She responds to Buddha’s smile with one of her own and turns back to her daughters. “It’s unfortunate you had to find out this way.”

“Why?” Brunhilde lowers her demeanour, switching to a neutral one when slightly soothed by her confirmation.

[Name] flusters at the question, looking away from her daughters. “He’s quite the charmer. Sweet, too.” She pouts softly, face flushed with embarrassment when Goll yelps and Bruhilde hums.

“It’s surprising to see the both of you like this, but I’m happy for you.” They all turn to Goll, who smiles at the couple. [Name] sighs in relief, and turns to Brunhilde. The woman looks between the two, and shakes her head with amusement. “Fine, I’m glad you are pleased.” [Name] chuckles at the emphasis, and turns to Buddha.

“See? They took this well.” Buddha laughs, shaking his head at the roll of Brunhide’s eyes. “A lot better than I expected, to be honest.”

Brunhilde catches on to the remark, and shifts to sit besides Goll. “You’re not out of the dungeon yet, idiot.”

“IDIOT idiotic idiot! How is he the god of the sea and storms?” Tsukuyomi roamed around the bedroom in a hissy fit as you read. The words would have jumbled in your brain if you weren't used to his angry tantrums, which didn't happen too often but left a mark on you in the centuries you spent together. 

Your sight went to the curved marble of your windows, which reflected the bright moon and stars in the blue sky of night. 

Amaterasu must have been pleased with the visit through the brighter glow of the moon, while Tsukuyomi’s disturbance aggravated the extra glow to the large stone, and your wonderful children in the sky shared your amusement, twinkling brightly alongside their companions.

“How dare he pursue a former human! They are such filthy beings! They grovel in the dirt below us, and he chose to love her? He could have done much better!” The rattling of his necklace brought you out of your read, to which you shook your head and then sighed.

“Are you going to be upset for much longer? Susano'o’s made his choice on who to be with. It’s nighttime. We should leave this for the next day.” Said you, then placed the book on the drawer beside you, mused.

“Why are you smiling? Does it amuse you that I’m upset?” Tsukuyomi looked at you, visibly upset and his hair in a slight mess from him clutching it. “It's a bit amusing to see you worked up.” You answered with a hum, patting the blanket beside you. “Get into bed, my love. It wouldn’t do you any good to stress.” 

“Ugh, we even brought ourselves out of our way to depart from Takamagahara just to visit him.” Your husband whined as he settled beside you, wrapping an arm around your waist as he nested his head on your shoulder. 

“I understand. Out of all the surprising things he's done in a while, this exceeds them.” You sighed. “At least she earned the title of demigod. It shows that she's remarkable.” 

“I don't care. It's disgraceful for a god to be considered one with man; much more be involved with one.” 

Tsukuyomi traced idle lines on the curves of the star marks trailed on your arms. “She noticed the birth of this star. A new one.” He whispered lovingly towards the particular mark, proud.

“Sora seems to have an adoration for them. She complimented my crafts when they stopped by my studio.” You said cheerfully. “She was eager throughout the visit, asking me questions about the stars and the process of forming them. She even noticed the Ronero star on the wall, which many don't pay attention to.” 

“You’re tolerating her because of the stars? She really has you fooled.” Tsukuyomi quizzed, rolling his eyes at your glare. You huffed. “Sora does not have me fooled. I just think it'd do Susano'o good to have someone who notices the intricate details.” 

“You’re supporting their relationship?” You were baffled at that. “No, I don’t find it appropriate to do so. He did introduce her to us today, my Love."

“However, I believe we should give Sora a chance. From my observation in Takamagahara, they both care for one another. The dinner we had today provided me with a raw perspective as well. Susano’o gazes at her with nothing but adoration.” You sighed, closing your eyes in fustration. “We’re not in a position to prevent them from being with one another. Maybe we’ll grow towards the idea later.” 

“Why did he have to make such foolish decisions?” Your husband groaned after a moment, lowering himself into the sheets as did you. “He’s Susano’o. There’s always something he’ll come up with.” You giggled. 

“Let’s give Sora a chance.”

“She is not gaining my approval any time soon.”

“We’ll see. I hope she uploads a video tomorrow. She’s pretty good at interviewing.”

The exasperated sigh your beloved let out to your back as he pulled you closer to him earned a chuckle.
