Ok I need to know what your headcanons are relating to transfem marwood
Her favourite actress is Vanessa Redgrave, but she didn't figure out she was getting major gender envy from her until years later, thinking it was just a crush (it was also that a bit). Eventually they work on the same film together and Marwood's freaking out the entire time.
She never really had the whole 'I was born in the wrong body' feeling in her childhood and teenage years. She was more worried about accidentally drawing attention to herself, and annoyed that she couldn't perform masculinity to the standard that she thinks she should have, and waved away the stray dysphoric feelings as simply 'I need to get better at being a guy to stop feeling this way'.
I think she figures out she's trans in her late 20s, but doesn't come out to people close to her until her mid/late 30s, because of the problems that might arise within getting roles if that info were to slip out into the wider entertainment industry, even if it's more generally accepting than other careers.
She eventually stops performing as much on stage and on screen, focusing more on writing scripts and adapting novels for stage (a headcanon I have for Marwood regardless of her being trans). At this point she decides 'fuck it' and comes out publicly in her 40s, although she's been medically transitioning for a handful of years already. She luckily ends up not being as much of a social pariah as she was concerned. Occasionally she does still do performances, and several of her scripts do end up being put on stage.
Both her parents died before she came out to them. She regrets not having done so, even though she fears it wouldn't have gone well. The rest of her family members are generally accepting, luckily.
She's really bad at taking oestrogen. It's not the needle she's afraid of, just that I bet she's had an awful time with drugs cut with other substances before and she gets worried about that over basically every form of medicine, even those prescribed to her. Her hormone schedule is non-existent, it's just whenever she gets the courage basically.
Her fashion sense would be mostly 60s and 70s based, even decades afterwards, simply because she views those as most suitable to her. Also, she likes the wide range of skirts and dresses that the 70s brought about.
I probably have more headcanons that I'll remember later but I hope these are good/enjoyable/make sense! :)
