I joined a Discord after talking with a new art mutual on DA right. And omg im kind of uncertain now because I'm having a convo with one of the other "artists" and they are arguing that it's okay to just take art from artists and not ask because they are usually posted under a Creative Commons license. Like??? How is it so bad or hard to simply ask the artist for permission to use their art? How is that "coddling" the artist??? (Their words not mine) Idk man. This is actually making me mad. I can't believe people think art is some kind of fodder available to use for whatever and that the artist has no right to deny certain uses of their art. Like their feelings don't matter. :/
