Neil Marshall, the director who is engaged to Charlotte Kirk, the actress at the center of two Hollywood studio head ousters, has been dropped by his agency.

Verve no longer represents the writer-director, who made a splash with the 2006 horror movie The Descent and earned acclaim for his work in television with shows such as Game of Thrones.

Verve did not comment on the move. Marshall had been with the agency less than a year, signing with Verve last November.

Kirk is the actress who was at the center of affairs with multiple top Hollywood players, one of which led to the ouster of former Warner Bros. chief Kevin Tsujihara last year. Earlier in August, THR revealed exclusively that was the unnamed woman whom Meyer referenced when he stepped down from his vice chairman post at Universal. In a statement, Meyer alleged that he was the victim of extortion attempt by third parties, said to be Marshall and an ex-boyfriend of Kirk's.

Marshall denied the allegations but in the wake of Meyer’s forced exit, NBCUniversal is investigating Meyer's involvement with Kirk in an effort to determine if any company money or resources were used in conjunction with the affair or a $2 million settlement he reached with her last year.

FBI investigating Ron Meyer’s claims of extortion over Charlotte Kirk affair

The FBI is looking into allegations by ousted NBCUniversal vice chairman Ron Meyer that he was the target of an extortion plot stemming from his relationship with actress Charlotte Kirk, sources said.

A source told Page Six on Wednesday, “The FBI has made calls as recently as this week about the matter.” But the source added that it’s unclear where the inquiries will go.

A weird and salacious story out of Hollywood that sounds like the plot of the next Netflix series out of Ryan Murphy.

It involves sex, a young woman, 4 or more studio executives, and possible extortion.

The short version of the story is that Charlotte Kirk, a young actress who has Asperger syndrome, has had affairs with 2 Hollywood studio CEO - both have lost their jobs. Meanwhile Kirk has made “settlements” with them. Kirk has also been accused of extortion. Other executives have been sucked into the headlines as well.

In Kirk’s defense, her attorney said, “Do people seriously believe that a 19-year-old girl, autistic, vulnerable, naive and ripe to be exploited, arrived in the shark-infested waters of Hollywood and somehow took advantage of some of the smartest and most powerful men in the movie business? How could anybody with an ounce of intelligence believe such ridiculous twaddle?”

Actually... yes I do believe she targeted these men. It doesn’t excuse their behavior. But she might be innocent once. But twice? Possibly three or four times... she sounds like she’s a predator.
