🌕 when our darknesses overlap, let me take it all away ✨
I feel so bad for Cheong Myeong
was reading stuff.
'It bored him. While he was a disciple of Mount Hua Sect, he didn’t fully follow the teaching. Despite his natural talent, which earned him the title of “Plum Blossom Sword Saint”, he was but a mere beginner in the Mount Hua Sect.' 'Why didn’t he realize earlier? Even when the teachings didn’t make sense, even when he felt out of place… everything that made him him he owed solely to the Mount Hua Sect. That was why he admired the sect so much.'
-Cheong Myeong (chapter 1)
I just. What do I say?
This is so sad.
I mean you don't just come to conclusions like that on your own most of the time, someone has to say it. So that means that either someone persistently told him that, he was isolated enough to feel that, or both.
All of the options hurt me deeply.
Cheong myeong is just...he felt isolated and alone in his own home. It's clear from the beginning, and that hurts so much.
And another thing, the way he says admired, like he wasn't a living breathing part of Mount Hua,. Like he could look but not touch Mount Hua...
It makes me wonder how much time he spent running from the feelings he felt at Mount Hua. Or the people.
I mean, I get it, but at the same time, he grew up there, that was his birthplace and home, and he loved it so much, and he ran away? Like, I get that later on is where the realization comes in, but something just doesn't add up.

alnst/aeneid parallels in the sense that they cannot love properly in alnst because they were never taught to and they cannot love properly in the aeneid because fate would not allow them to
