Movie: Finding Emily (2026)

Okay so I actually enjoyed Monday. I didn’t really know what to expect as I saw a lot of mixed reviews. It was so chaotic and granted sometimes I wanted to scream at the main characters when they were going off the rails but that’s what made the storyline so good. It felt realistic and organic which is such a testament to Sebastian and Denises acting and general chemistry. I felt like I was actually organically witnessing how this couple would navigate a relationship as it was so realistic to their complex personalities.

I expected the high amounts of nudity but It wasn’t distracting to the plot in my opinion and made sense to the passionate wildness of the couples relationship (very minor spoiler: I will say though that the sex scene on the couch was doing a lot given the circumstances and felt really random??).

I don’t usually like open endings but I didn’t hate the way the film ended, I feel like it made sense to the general pace of the narrative. If you 100% don’t like open endings, nudity and frequent sex scenes this film might might not be the one for you lol. I completely understand why it might not be for everyone as it’s not your typical romcom but if your willing to give it a go I’d deffo recommend!
