the  door  swung  open,     the  little  bell  overhead  giving  its  lazy  chime,     and  he  glanced  up  from  the  sketchbook  balanced  on  his  knee.     “  'bout  time.  ”    he  drawled  with  a  grin,     flipping  his  pencil  around  to  tuck  it  behind  his  ear.    “  either  you’re  here  for  some  fresh  ink,     or  you  just  got  lost  and  decided  my  place  was  as  good  as  any  to  catch  your  breath.  ”    

her  gaze  flicked  up,     one  brow  arching,     her  smirk  curling  slow.     “  well  now…     look  what  the  tide  dragged  in.  ”     she  drawled,     tossing  the  rag  over  her  shoulder.    “  either  you’re  lost,     sugar,     or  you’re  here  to  make  my  night  a  whole  lot  more  interestin’.  ”     she  leaned  on  the  bar,     tapping  her  nails  against  the  wood.    “  which  one  is  it?  ”

he  walks  the  streets  of  the  mango  bay  art  district  frequently,  as  if  trying  to  get  a  feel  for  the  street  he  knew  like  the  back  of  his  hand.  he  likes  scoping  out  the  buildings,  hoping  to  find  one  that's  FOR  SALE.  he'd  like  to  open  his  own  studio  sometime  –  he  feels  too  bad  for  cluttering  his  house  with  all  of  his  things.  plus,  it  would  be  nice  to  create  some  type  of  work  /  life  balance  by  separating  the  spaces.  “excuse  me,”  he  starts  as  he  catches  a  glimpse  of  a  kind-looking  face.  “what  do  you  think  of  this  space  right  here  ?"  he  gestures  towards  the  soon-to-be  vacant  business.  “what  vibes  do  you  get  from  it  ?”

he  has  a  certain  routine,  when  he  comes  home.  place  his  keys  on  the  key  ring,  slip  his  shoes  off  and  place  them  on  the  rack,  and  go  to  the  kitchen  sink  to  wash  his  hands.  he  didn't  consider  himself  home  until  the  routine  was  complete.  as  he's  washing  his  hands,  he  glances  up  and  sees  andy  on  the  couch.  “oh,  hey,”  he  greets,  lathering  soap  on  his  hands.  “how  was  your  day  ?”
