i had. two horrible misunderstandings about the name reveal.
first off: i thought roman laughing was a sign the name was a fake name, and it wasnt until the others DIDNT laugh that i realized what was actually happening, and suddenly? i hate canon roman. but the thing is, i was only encouraged in this misunderstanding because of my other misunderstanding...
i thought the name was janice.
i. i thought the joke was that it was a “girls” name and so roman was laughing at how silly the fake name was. it wasnt until @snarkyowl messaged me about “janus” that it clicked that i was spelling it wrong.
IN MY DEFENSE janus literally originally opened up with “who’s she? never heard of her” so for a SPLIT second, i thought they were leaning into that, and making deceit more feminine in some ways? but. no. im just fucking stupid-
