My ride or die OT3. They make so much sense that I've already written a ton of propaganda for them, so suffice it to say that I think these three nerds with daddy issues balance each other perfectly.

Ryou loves a dice-based game, Duke invents a dice-based game, and Joey uses dice-based cards. That's the origin of the name: they all roll dice. I love the idea of Joey healthy protecting his pretty boyfriends from all their admirers.

I think this could be really cute in a setting where they're all trying to break and move forward.

Yes, I made this one up, because I like to think of Kaiba keeping these two weirdos as pets in his mansion. They understand each other when it comes to the occult and spiritual stuff they're interested in, and then they've got Kaiba to find their research and give them headpats.

I like to think that Ryou would end up teasing both of these boys for their opinions on ghosts/spirits.

“What’s bothering you?”

“Adulthood affects everyone differently. For Ryou, it was gaining self-confidence. High school is a bubble, and when it pops, we learn something about ourselves.”

Joey smiled thinly.

“That doesn’t answer my question.”

“You’re just settling into your adult self, Joey.” Duke gave him a sweet kiss. “We’re all still growing into ourselves a little. Physically, none of us are done growing until we’re like twenty-five, I think.”

Joey looked at Duke for a few more moments before letting his eyes drift down.

“Thanks for trying to make me feel better.”

“Sorry that it didn’t work.” Duke straightened up. “I’ll come up with something better and try again tomorrow.”
