Roller Diner :D.
So, I was scrolling through the fic, trying to remember which scene it was that made me want to write this fic, and I realized that itās the whole first part... I mean, itās got all my favorite scenes in it:
- Simon getting stood up and Baz sitting with him
- Baz being disgusted by the fries dipped in the milkshake
- Baz thinking Penny is Agatha and then rambling to try to cover his mistake
- Simon wearing Bazās clothes
- Simon teaching Baz to skate and then tending to his wounds (and carrying him bridle style!!)
- the entire birthday scene
- the thing at the coffee shop
(Sorry, I forgot how much I liked this fic)
Anyway, after I finished the first part, I struggled to come up with the rest of the fic because I had already written everything that I wanted to write.
So... speaking of something completely different.Ā This is something Iāve been meaning to make for well over 10 years.Ā It took a lot of thought on back-burner to get right, but some recent posts on general trends in anime stylistic history have helped out:
āFrom her base on the Saturn Diner, the Magical Malt Princess watches the galaxy for the machinations of her nefarious foes, enemies to all that is right and good.Ā With her pet penguin Peecha she keeps peace in the galaxy, kicking butt and serving delicious drinks!ā
This is an in-joke from college Iāve finally finished.Ā Finally!Ā It was honestly a lot of fun, and Iām quite happy with it.
I HATE MY JOBBB
I may drop dead if I have to work one more shift impromptu what the hell !

Roller Diner!
Unfortunately, that was one of the temporary titles. (The other was simplyĀ ādiner ficā)
I actually waited until like an hour before I was supposed to post that fic for the big bang to finish editing it and title the sections and title the fic, and I couldnāt come up with anything better than that, so thatās just what I went with.
Thanks so much for the ask! :D
Itās been a while. Ā But weāreĀ moreĀ important than ever now.
Itās been a couple of months since I last posted here. Ā But Iām trying to sort a script and music for our national tour of A Christmas Carol later in the year. Ā I finally managed to get a group of international journalists together to come on the London Literary Pub Crawl, so weāre having our official opening 5 years after we started!Ā Iām working on a TV script; Iām trying to negotiate with a National Trust garden to present a play in November and I no longer have my assistant, who has decided to travel the world. Ā Although postcards have been promised. Ā So spending time on this site is not really a priority.
Iām delighted that Roller Diner,Ā Ā a musical I was loosely involved in creating with writer and friend Stephen Jackson at the Billesley Pub in Birmingham years ago, has gone on to win the prestigious Verity Bargate Award and is now playing at the Soho Theatre. Ā AndĀ like everyone, Iāve been moved by recent events in London and Manchester. Ā I met a friend in the Soho bar who came to see Roller Diner.Ā
āThank god for this.ā he said. Ā āI felt like weeping most of the day, watching the constant TV news pictures of the burning flats. Ā But life goes on. Ā This has set me up for the week.ā Ā
And it made me think a bit about how important we are as creators of stories. Ā In a mad, bad world, producers can create a balance and make a difference.
