[ ♥ ] “Where did you get your costume? It looks so on point.” Honestly, at this point, he could barely tell a costume apart from everyday clothing... Plenty of the citizens of Hive City seemed to come straight out of one of Alphys’ animes. “Can I take your picture? Ah-- wait, oh no! I don’t have a cellphone! I’ll just borrow yours... How does that sound?”

A trip to the pet store was necessary, especially when her old throne now became the size of a garden snake. It was a shame, really, and she was furious of what they had done to her valued pet. She hoped that there was something remotely similar to a comfortable seat, and if not then one large enough to be used as an arm rest. Without further ado, she scanned through aisles of caged reptiles locked behind display windows, each one becoming a disappointment as she continued to move forward.
Stopping halfway, eyes fixated at a certain group which were larger than the one she had seen prior. This would have to do for now, and she supposed complaining would lead her nowhere. Beside her stood a man, and given little empathy of whether she was interrupting him or not, a confident front was put up as she nearly scoffed at him.
♔{; ❝Hmph,
which of these snakes do you think are most useful in advising to your daily requirements?❞
“I am probably not entitled to say as much, but are you certain that the middle of the street is a good place for a nap? I’m sure the sideway might be a little bit more comfortable and less dangerous.”

Out of nowhere, the young girl began to laugh hysterically. If someone had told a great joke, only she had heard it, or so it seemed. Eventually, she calmed down enough to speak. She was still laughing as she spoke, but it was more regulated now.
“Ahahaha- ha... ha... Y-Your hair! You’re like a sea urchin! Heh, you could probably poke your eye out! Do you use hair gel? Or glue? Or maybe it’s a wig? Oh, are you cosplaying?”

One of the stranger things Jade had come to find in this city, was that of the alteration of his powers. As far as he figured, he found himself weaker, with less access to his artes than he’d ever had before. Even the fon slot seal that had been put on him hadn’t had this much of a drastic effect.
But that wasn’t nearly embarrassing as this shambles of a weapon he’d been given.
In his hands sat a wooden spear, that felt far too flimsy for comfort. He gathered that if he so much as waved it in the wrong direction, the damn thing would break. But he couldn’t complain too much about it, after all, a weapon was better than no weapon. If worse came to worst, he was sure he could do plenty of damage with a weapon that would splinter.
Sighing to himself, he kept his crimson gaze trailed on his weapon, a thought coming to mind. In fact, that very thought sent a small shiver down the Colonel’s spine.
Just how powered down was he? Many of his artes would simply not work, but he hadn’t exactly tested out techniques he’d forged himself just yet.
Furrowing his brow, he moved the spear in his grip, firmly grasping it horizontally. Usually the process of blending the fonons of his spear with those of his arm was an effortless process, but now, he couldn’t for the life of him do it. It would have nothing to do with the spear being unfamiliar- he’d used multiple weapons over the years and things always ended up the same way. Without even thinking he began to rotate the spear around, twirling it in his grip with an increasingly frustrated look. With a exasperated sigh, the Necromancer finally settled for slamming the spear against his outstretched arm, wondering if the proximity would aid the procedure.
It didn’t help, and now he simply looked like a moron.
Noting that there were some gazes now trailed upon him, presumably for his strange behaviour in a rather public place, Jade slowly lowered the spear to his side, acting immediately as though nothing had happened. Turning his attention to the others with a smile, he cleared his throat.
“Ha, ha, ha...” He chuckled darkly, almost daring those around him to make a comment before nudging up his glasses with his free hand. “There’s nothing to see here, do carry on.”
