So, although acquatic mycology is a very niche and very underfunded branch of mycology, there _are_ a few actual underwater mushrooms, like the Psathyrella Acquatica: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psathyrella_aquatica.
This mushroom was found in the Rogue River, Michigan, which is also habitat for the Steelhead Trout: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steelhead.
Now, Steelheads are quite large, and the mushroom is quite small, so I decide to go for a fry (and some eggs and hatchlings in the background, I know it’s not accurate but it adds some variety).
