Hey, so I've seen and liked some of your dispatch posts (probably more than some but that's not the point of this ask) and now that I saw your criminal minds post I figured I'd finally ask on at least one of your au/writings, what happens next? Does z-team go on a manhunt for whoever did that to robert? How does robert feel about the situation? Would this end differently or similar to the show? So many questions and thoughts!
No pressure to answer or continue it however, I will admit I haven't watched the show in a crazy long while so my memory of the particulars for that episode/case are drawing blanks, anyway, I hope you are having a wonderful day/night!
Oh, I'm so glad you asked!!
Well, in a brief summary of the episode: A doctor/scientist is removing people's legs and transplanting them into other people β all of them completely healthy, it's worth remembering β hoping to "cure" his wife, who was born with a malformation in one of her legs and had to have it amputated at birth
They investigate the case through the only survivor, and they follow the path until they find the suspect who was with his "successful patient" β since the others had died due to medical complications (except for the first one, who only had his leg amputated)
As for what might happen now? Well... I have some ideas
This whole situation was going to end just like the episode of the show, with the Z-Team finding Robert in the makeshift lab in the scientist's garage
Now, about how Robert feels about the situation: He feels terrible. First, he has to deal with chronic pain, and now he has to deal with this?
Recovery is a bitch, phantom pain sucks, and walking with crutches is something he really didn't want to do, but it's all he can do at the moment: endure it, go slowly, and recover
Rody is making a prosthesis for him with Chase's help
As for the Z-Team... they are more than furious, they are seething with rage
They quickly realized that Robert had disappeared - he wasn't answering their messages/calls and he hadn't gone to pick up Beef with Chase - and when they connected the dots that Robert had been captured by this scientist, the real hunt begins. They go everywhere they can imagine, hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. When do they identify the guy? Malevola immediately opens a portal next to his house and the whole team is more than ready to enter
The Z-Team doesn't kill him, but hurts him enough - both because they are heroes now and because Robert needs to get to the hospital soon
After all that mess, the team loves putting stickers on Robert's prosthetic leg, and even though he won't admit it out loud, he loves it when they do it
I enjoyed putting Criminal Minds and Dispatch together like that, I think I'll do it more often with other episodes :3
