Rock fall Buragorang Valley

fms.fossils A small cliff fall in process a week or so ago at Charmouth after the thawing of the snow and ice that froze the cliffs. Excuse the shaky video, it was rather windy! These falls happen constantly along the Jurassic Coast, which is why so many fossils are found in this area. It also makes the beaches dangerous if you don't pay attention to what the cliffs are doing. These falls can happen anywhere without warning, and you don't want to be anywhere near them when they happen! This is a poor layer for fossils that is falling, so even less reason to go anywhere near it. Always read the warning signs on any beach you visit and be aware that the coast is constantly eroding and on the move. 

I was leading through the white circle C3 pitches of zodiac on a push to do it in a day when I heard a massive grumbling and saw a whole pitch of the route next to us detach and detonate below us. I was shook up so the rest of the pitches went relatively slowly, we topped out in 30 hours
