RoChu Week will be returning this summer after hiatus, taking place from the 8th to the 14th of August. For those of you who havenât participated in RoChu Week before, or just need a reminder, hereâs whatâs going to happen:
People will send us âpromptsâ via the ask box. Prompts could be vague ideas like âwinterâ or âalliesâ or specific situations like âcooking dinner together.â
When we have enough of those, weâll create a poll where people can vote for their favourite prompts, and the prompts with the most votes will be included in the ship week.
Each day of the ship week will be assigned two prompts. On that day, you can post any fanworks that youâve made based on either prompt (or both, if youâre up for a challenge!). Make sure to use #rochuweek within the first five tags, and weâll reblog it here. You can also submit it directly to the blog if you prefer.
Fanworks can be anything at all; fanfiction, drawings, gifsets, headcanons, cosplay, videos, etc.
If that sounds like something youâd be interested in, please submit as many prompts as you like and follow this blog for more information! If you have any questions, check out our FAQ, and if you donât find your answer there, you can drop us an ask.

hereâs my (very late) entry for @rochuweek day 2!!
the prompt was âlove at first sightâ (âäžè§éæ ïŒäžè§ćŸćżâ). i started working on this 3 days ago and had no idea it would take longer than expected!! iâm really happy with how it turned out though! :)
i like to think that a moment like that would be something like only the two of them seeing each other for a second, only for a short period of time where it is just them, so I decided to draw the other background figures as silhouettes distinguished as a passing crowd :)

A/N: A short little scene for @rochuweek, inspired by the book (and film), The Remains of the Day.Â
.
The library is dim, stuffy â but the desk lamp is shining on Yao's face like a spot of sunshine in the middle of dreary November. Ivan has long since given up on typing away at his essay, shutting his laptop and leaning his head down over his folded arms. Across from him, Yao is apparently still focusing intensely on his work, though Ivan is sure heâs faking it. They've been here for five hours trying to get this assignment done, the windows are pitch black and no one else is left in the library. And - ?
Yao has been staring at the same page of a yellowed textbook for almost five minutes.
Ivan smiles, burying his mouth into his sleeve to cover it. Yao seems to notice anyway, his eyes darting up at him.
âWhat?â Yao asks.
âAre you having trouble reading?â
Yao, for a moment, looks like a deer in headlights.
âNo. Are you?â
Ivan nods, unable to suppress his yawn. âIt's⊠midnight.â
Yao rubs his face. âYou're kidding me...â
Ivan holds out his palm, and the startled way Yao looks at it makes him flush.
âY-Your book,â Ivan says quickly, âI can put it back.â
âOh.â
Ivan gingerly takes the book from Yao's hands, getting up to find its shelf. He's actually not sure where they picked this book out from, and Yao is eager to follow and smugly guide him to the bookshelf. Ivan, like the klutz he is, manages to drop both the book and his rucksack. Itâs then that something else falls - a well-worn novel, tumbling out onto the floor with a soft thud that is louder than anything else in this deserted library. The cover stares up unashamedly: The Remains of the Day, the title reads beneath an image of a lavish mansion.
Yao blinks, a pause. âIs that yours?â
Ivan curses under his breath and grabs it off the floor, eager to hide it away - only Yao is reaching for it, too.
âWhy are you so shy?â Yao asks, beaming with a knowing smile. âWhatâs it about?â
âJust... a novel. About. Things.â
Yao laughs, reaching for the book although Ivan is holding it close to his chest. âThings?â
âI read it for practice. F-For my english,â Ivan says, backing into the bookshelf when Yao takes a step towards him.
âFor your english?â
âY-Yes, it improves my vocabulary.â
The corners of Yao's gentle mouth tug up a little more. âYouâre making me very curious about this book.â His fingertips are on the bookâs spine, close to Ivan's, and the way his dark eyes are looking up at him so fervently sets Ivan's heart into a frenzy.
âCan I see it?â
âN-No,â Ivan gulps. He can feel sweat under his collar. Yao's face is practically in his, but his eyes are fixated on the book as he continues to try and gently pry it away.Â
âI just want to have a look,â Yao says teasingly.
âYou really don't,â Ivan laughs nervously, unsure how he could possibly explain the obvious wear and tear of a much-loved book - a book like this, no less, which revelled in nostalgia and longing. But more than this, he canât help the thoughts running through his head as Yao leans in only closer. Yao looks too touchable like this, too sweet as he smiles and attempts to peer into the book. Yao's ponytail has fallen apart, and Ivan is oh-so-tempted to tuck in that stray wisp of hair from his face. They're so close together, he could just about touch it â
The lights go out completely, leaving them in darkness.
âCrap, theyâre locking up, we better go!â Yao grabs Ivanâs hand in the dark, pulling him along to the usual frenzy of their day to day life. Ivan isnât sure if heâs disappointed or relieved as they squeeze past the security guard, muttering their apologies and ducking out into the icy rain. But itâs with a small smile that he realises that even on their way home, Yao doesnât let go.
.
A/N: Thank you for reading!! Itâs short, but hopefully sweet. I highly recommend reading (or watching) The Remains of the Day if youâre into the torture of two characters pining for each other but never directly expressing their feelings for each other, plus just a really good story about a butler. (and Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson are in it how can u not)
Here is also the scene this fic is heavily inspired by.
" Over 40 peoples are missing. Police still don't has answer for this."
Ivan is young police officer in Shanghai. Yao a bit older than Ivan but still energetic as ever. He have a very popular restaurant. Everything seems to be normal... well almost. There's a meat deficit in city/country in general. But that not so big problem then you have fresh meat walking around you.
