The Good News, The Bad News, and the Frustrating News
This past week has been a pretty hectic one, and there's a lot to share!
Good News: I have the second episode of my Cloudberry Kingdom footage ready to upload and post for your viewing pleasure Monday morning!
Bad News: Of the hour's worth of footage I recorded at my brother's house, only that one ten-minute episode was usable. The video footage began dropping frames in the middle of episode 3 and by episode 5, it was a glitch-filled mess.
Frustrating News: Even if I had all 5 episodes of footage to work with, I discovered halfway through editing episode 2 that my computer is simply not cut out for this level of video production. It took a good 6 hours for my comp to churn out episode 2 and it nearly overheated in doing so. So it seems like I will not be able to really start this gaming channel until I can get a decent job and upgrade my hardware.
More Good News: I've been re-working my 16-Bit Symphony album, touching up and/or rewriting old tracks, and I've got a couple brand new tracks that just came off the assembly line! I'm working on taking the general feel of this album a bit away from the "epic" pure orchestral style that I'd been leaning towards, and pushing it in a more fun and energetic direction, not unlike the Battleblock Theater soundtrack. I got a chance to play that with my friends and oh my goodness. That game is amazing. And so is the music in said game.
More Bad News: Along with revamping the music, I want the album artwork to be top-notch quality. But alas, I am broke. I had commissioned my good friend Kenny to illustrate the cover of my album Buried Under Black and White (lookit that gorgeous artwork), and would love to commission them again, or any of my other artistically talented friends, but I lack the funds.
More Frustrating News: I'm also trying to work on more cover songs, but I've hit the biggest musical rut in that endeavor. I have three covers I'm trying to finish myself that just are not coming out right, and then There are also a few songs that my good friend Carlos and I are covering that also refuse to sound right despite my efforts. It sucks.
