Robowars tower defense game returns to Steam after two years on Windows PC with Linux in tow. Which is the long time creative work of developer N-Game Studios. Which you can now see on Steam. Today our good old tower defense game Robowars returns to Steam after two years. It wasn't easy, several years ago the developer lost contact with their publisher. It was quite insulting and frustrating to watch what happens with the game. While not being able to somehow influence it! Also, N-Game didn't receive any sales reports and royalties for some years. As a result, it became known that the publisher went through bankruptcy proceedings. So Robowars was removed from Steam. Recently, the original developers of the game, have returned the rights to our project. Due to bring the game back to Steam, along with an updated build that fixes several critical bugs. But also improves game balance and localization. Recompiling the game for modern operating systems (Win 10/11). But there even plans for Linux in the mix.

The game was developed on the Unity engine. Therefore, it can be ported to Linux without additional complications.

The developers email shows confidence in a Linux build. Obviously due to the ease of porting via Unity 3D. Likely due to inch it's way onto the Steam Deck. N-Game has also reduced the price of the game by four times. It seems fair. Hope the community will like it. But it's also interesting to see how the new game changes affect reviews. Since they are in the red.

Robowars is a sci-fi action strategy based on the tower defense game mechanic. While offering capture the flag and collectible cards game elements. Originally was released on Steam in 2014. In between attacks, construct new defenses. Manage your supplies of Neonium well – the more you have, the more special abilities cards will be available. The cards allow you to build battlefield towers, units and traps. Or you can also activate abilities. Build Neonium production plants for even more special ability cards. Destroyed enemy units in Robowars will sometimes drop money. This can be used to buy units, traps, and attack cards.
