2/3 Hexafusion Universe Illustrations: This one focuses on Chibi, the fusion of Team Dark, and how this universe's version of robotizing functions. It's more of a operation/cosmetic procedure than a means of building an army. And a fairly popular one at that. Chibi is not the only Mobian to undergo this procedure.
Once a complete robot, Chibi has invested much of their money and resources into becoming a natural Mobian. Modern science and medicine has found a way to transition mechanical beings into 100% organic ones on the molecular level. It works much like the robotizing process from the original universe, except this works both ways and is a common practice in the world. Androids or robots that possess the desire to become organic are allowed, by law, to undergo this process to whatever extent they desire, and vise versa. It costs quite a bit of money, so most only go as far as the head and chest and leave the limbs robotic.
In Chibi's case though, they want to be 100% organic. So they take their operations in pieces, starting with the head, then chest, then an arm, and next will be the other arm then both legs after. It costs less to do the procedure in pieces and allows time for the patient to save up money and adjust to the new form. It's essential to take your time during this process and take care of yourself because it's literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There are complications that can happen that can slow or completely halt the process. The main two are as follows:
1. The operation only goes one way. So a robot that has it's parts turned organic cannot have those same parts returned to being mechanical. The destabilizing of the molecules during the process would deteriorate them too much and cause the limb or (god forbid) head to fall apart. One subject tried this with a leg once. They lost the leg and a law was put in place to prevent others from doing it again. Likewise, if an organic Mobian wants a limb or something turned mechanical, they can't go back to being 100% organic after the procedure. Some natural Mobians use this when they become paralyzed or break a limb beyond repair. Making that limb mechanical makes it much easier to fix and use again. The head and chest areas are much trickier to make mechanical if there are organ problems or failure, but it is possible and some Mobians do go to extreme lengths with this procedure.
2. If a limb is detached (mechanical or organic), there is no way to make the switch with it. You could get a prosthetic limb as a replacement, or reattach the old limb if you work fast enough, but the destabilizing of molecules during the process would weaken the already weak point where it was reattached to the point of causing it to fall off again. It could work on a robot if the replacement was practically seamless, but even then, the limb would have to be in pristine condition for it to work. This has only worked once on one robot that lost a leg and had it reattached within minutes of being ripped off. All other attempts to change limbs recently detached have resulted in losing the limbs a second time and being stuck with a prosthetic limb instead.
