red x starts showing up at all of their missions. at first its a weird coincidence and it swiftly turns into a thorn in robin’s side 

red x: ohh my godddd CRAZY we’re in the same room :)

robin: you’re literally stealing while we’re caught up cinderblock

red x, shoveling gemstones into a sac: haha you’re so funny 

red x doesn’t rlly question his growing desire to just,, show up at all of their missions because he likes “messing with robin”. at some point he does a self assessment and is like “wait wait wait why are you so obsessed with the bird” 

red x: lol im obsessed with robin for kicks and giggles

red x two seconds later: this may be more than just kicks and giggles 

he vanishes from the radar for a month or two and robin’s totally not worried 

red x comes back but with a renewed resolve to not fall in love with robin

it goes about like this:

red x: i’ve been gone for a month i’m totally clear of this weird infatuation

robin: red x??? where have you been???? >:/

red x, turning bright red under that mask: abort abort abort abort

he teases robin a whole lot esp once he decides “ah well since it’s never gonna happen might as well slip flirting in there” which leads ROBIN to being all confused with emotions because he’s also just… bAd at flirting 

this is a super fun au i want to write so so much for it but i shouldn’t make this super long so here’s some romantic hcs

red x likes to leave robin little gifts (he steals about half of them which he thinks is a really good record)

robin has No Idea how to show affection for red x he’s flustered 90% of the time but once he was super tired and they were laying next to each other and robin rolled over and smiled, all slow, and said “i really love you, you know that?” and it was an instant KO red x was never the same again

soft spoken words are red x’s weakness 

robin likes to show affection by wrestling 

red x likes to drop on robin from doorways and cling to him like a monkey 

robin has found the action to get him off with the highest success rate is turning red x’s face towards him and kissing him, because red x loosens his grip and robin can either continue the kiss more comfortably or body slam him on the ground. it varies with the day. 

red x is a little too protective of robin . you know when raven was super worried about the squad having a good day on “the last day of the world”? that’s red x like, all the time, but he has to balance also looking “cool”

Ω Oh god oh god oh god this ship.

Okay so I’ve shipped these two for the LONGEST time.  Probably around 2 years (which is when I started this blog/watched Teen Titans) but have never been able to exploit the possibilities until whelmedandfeelingtheaster.  This is actually one of my favorite ships.

See they’re the two “alpha males” of their teams (before Jinx left).  They’re both the more ambitious ones, while the rest of their team don’t have the same drive.  Robin wants to be the hero, prove himself.  Jinx wants to be somebody, earn respect.  They’re so similar (they’re both acrobats too!), put on the opposite sides of the battle.  

I have this headcanon where Robin and Jinx sneak out and night and spar then have angry makeout sessions and stuff.  Loser gives the other team a minute headstart next battle.

Ahem.  Anyway.  Jinx has never, and probably will never admit it, but she admires Robin.  He’s one of those people she can trust and count on, and because he gives second chances.  He gave her a second chance.  He’s the type of person that will give her a place to crash for the night even if she’s a villain, give her whatever she needs (basic needs) even though by no means does he owe her.  

But Robin’s not gullible.  He’s fully aware of her and her powers, and what she can do (as opposed to for example, Beast Boy or Starfire).  If he didn’t, she would think that he’s stupid.  But even with all his niceness, he’ll still come out of every situation.  He’s a survivor, like her.

Their relationship would be full of tension, full of bickering, but because they’re so alike.  They would argue over everything, but if anyone got in their way, they will immediately bond together and take out the threat.  Like imagine them fighting together, both so heavy on teamwork and have such similar styles.
