I'm finally figuring out how to do the backgrounds for these guys... we may not be there all the way but we're kinda getting there...
Anyway... I FINALLY FINISHED ROBIN YAY!!! It took me a long time to do this for some reason, probably just because I'm also trying to finish the GT prologue. But anyway, here's some information about her!
Robin is the local repairwoman at Max's apartment building and also the owner (and only employee) of the Monroe Repair Service Company. She does take on jobs for other clients in the city at times, but she is primarily employed by the owner of the apartment building and mostly tends to the concerns of the tenants. However, she must also have some kind of day job, since on most weekdays, she leaves the apartment building to go elsewhere...
Though she may appear stoic, Robin is well-liked by those in the apartment building and many who she meets. She is calm, polite, helpful, and even charming with a good sense of humor. She is also naturally observant with a sharp mind, something that aids her in doing her job well but also in improving her interactions with others (something she strives very much to do). However, people's opinions of her can be impeded by her eccentric hobbies, which includes collecting insects and putting them in display cases, of which she has many. But, this is only because she is so passionate about them, and can list off the common names, scientific name, and facts about every insect in her collection. She also often frequents rock shops and collects the most interesting ones she can find, both in terms of actually obtaining them and learning all she can about them.
There is a lot hidden under the surface when it comes to her, but Robin does genuinely care about the apartment tenants and wants to protect them. If people from their past, or anyone looking to harass them, come by looking for them, she's quick to confront them and ward them off. In that way, she could also be called the 'guard dog' of the building. 😭
I was originally very much intending to do Ophelia, Max's researcher and assistant next since she's a very important character to the story, and in Max's life as well, but Last Window was pissing me and my gf off so much I had to finish this beautiful fat butch first. 😭 Robin is very important as well though, since without spoiling anything, she does genuinely want to help Max, and tries to push her in the right direction so she can find what she's looking for. She can be a little underhanded, but she just doesn't like being in the spotlight and truthfully yearns for a peaceful life.
Anyway, that's all I got for Ms. Robin! There may not be any more art for a while since I'm really trying to focus on finishing up my writing. After that, though, probably more!

elsie: wait.. really? robin.. i d-don’t want you to feel like you have to hire me just because of my mom-
robin: that’s not it at all. elsie, you’ve been helping your mom with her diner ever since you were old enough to carry a plate without dropping it *grins* do you remember the first time i ever came to your mom’s diner, with my dad? you were.. about 6 years old. you came up to our table and asked what we wanted to order, and then went and perfectly relayed it to your mom *laughs*
elsie: *giggles* that sounds like me. my mom says i was always eager to help her, even as a child
robin: *nods* your work ethic was great, i’ll give you that. so don’t think of it as me hiring you, think of it as me hiring the 5 year old girl who came and waited our table all those years ago *winks*
elsie: well, i like to think i’ve gotten better since then
robin: hmm, i don’t know. i think that was the best service i’ve ever gotten
elsie: *laughs* okay, you’re just being nice now
robin: maybe a bit. it’s definitely up there though *yawns* coffee? i feel like a zombie right now. i need some caffeine in my system
