The Titans resting and smol Jason using his little yellow cape as his blanket
5 +1 times Jason used his cape as a blanket and felt safe and the one time a Robin (Damian) used his cape to make him feel safe and sleep.
It has been three days since he last slept. Three nights filled with screaming, crying, tossing and turning in bed only to inevitably jolt out of bed because of nightmares that were actually memories and his imagination gone wild.
He thought that he would finally manage to sleep today, he was exhausted enough to manage twenty minutes of uninterrupted sleep Batman burst into his safe house guns blazing. He was shouting, angry at Jason and when isn't he mad? Jason's always doing something to upset him. To disappoint him.
"I haven't even done anything." He whines, and normally he'd be mortified at this behavior but he was so tired. He just wanted to sleep.
He didn't want the nightmares or memories.
"Go away." Jason burrows into his blankets shutting his eyes in a vain attempt to sleep.
"You haven't been sleeping well." Jason peeks one eye open to see Robin standing by his bed, a severe scowl on his face. Ah, that was worry mixed with disappointment number 4.
"It's fine smidget." There are fingers in his hair, twirling his bangs and he's suddenly taken back to his childhood when he used to have trouble sleeping and slept with his mom. How she used to twirl his bangs, trying to tame his curls before they could frizz up.
"I will watch over your sleep." Something lightweight yet compact is spread over his back and over his head. He opens his eyes to see what was put on him and sees yellow.
He instantly relaxes, something like nostalgia sweeps over him and he is suddenly and violently homesick.
"Father is not upset, he is worried." Jason huffs, he sounded mad. "You were in no state to be patrolling but I understand that you must protect your people." That's his little brother, so understanding.
"Sleep well Jaylad," There's something more but Jason is already fading with the knowledge that everyone would be safe for tonight.
