Robin x Ted. The show tried really hard to make me like it but it didn't succeed. The "I can't be with anyone but you" trope was really annoying, especially since there were clearly better matches for both of them than each other.

BROTP

Robin and Ted. They clearly love and care for each other but they don't have that romantic and sexual chemistry they should have to be a couple so all this love and care makes them a great platonic pair. The fact that the show tried to turn something clearly platonic to romantic was a huge turn off for me. They're besties.

There are just so many things that are right with this pair. They have all the romance and sexual tension Robin and Ted are missing. I honestly believe they never stopped being in love even when they were apart. The relationship wasn't too cheesy or forced and it honestly, it took me by surprise when it first happened because I expected the main girl to date the main boy (Ted) and was really excited to find out it wouldn't be a predictable and overused trope. Both of them claim they're not relationship material yet both of them tried to love each other the best way possible. I find the "I'm willing to try for you" trope way more healthy and less forced than the "I don't need to try because we're so perfect for each other" trope. The finale didn't happen.

Again Robin x Barney because Barney will hold get hand and smell her hair. He'll listen to her talk about her day and he'll tell her about his. They're hopelessly, irretrievably in love with each other.

Robin x Kevin. I felt physical pain when Robin accept his proposal and I know for a fact that so did Barney. But for some reason I couldn't stop crying when Kevin left Robin (probably because I felt really bad for her). Their whole relationship was torture for me because I'm head over heels for Robin x Barney and it still hurts me to watch "Tick Tick Tick" and "The Drunk Train"

I'm sure nobody saw this coming but Barney/Robin/Lily. It's really not complicated, I just love Robin/Barney and Robin/Lily. I also find it funny how Barney playfully hits on Lily all the time so why not put it all together?
