Robert Bean | Clocks: The Scent of Time, 2011From the series Illuminated Manuscripts: The McLuhan Suite Robert Bean is a Nova Scotia-based artist, curator, and writer. In his visual and textual work, he explores human technologies in a temporal context, focusing especially on the question of obsolescence. He draws on public archives, creating pigment prints that feature images of defunct typewriters, as well as images of annotated texts written on such machines.
