"I cheated on you."
She stared at him from across the dinner table. His words hung in the air all while a deafening silence slowly began to creep up into the room. At first she said nothing and felt nothing except for her stomach dropping. Pressing her lips together, she finally broke from his gaze, eyes frantically searching for an answer on what to do next on the dark wooden table. Slowly, she stood from her chair and gave him one last look still unable to say a word to him. With that, she turned and walked out of the room, leaving him and the dinner she had spent part of the evening preparing for him.
[MSG:] I’d take it all back if I could.
[MSG:] But you can't.
[MSG:] Do you hate me?
[MSG:] You're the father of my child, my first and only love. I don't think i could ever truly hate you. But part of me hopes that those things will keep you up at night while she sleeps next to you. Goodbye Robert.
"Are you even listening to me?"
"No, I don't want to listen to you. All that does it hurt me more and I'm sick of being the one that gets hurt."
"Give me another chance."
"For what? You'll go back to the same routine and spend your nights with her. Don't waste my time, or yours."
"Can you forgive me? One day?"
"I don't know, but I really hope I can just because I know I'll never be able to move on."
"I know I don’t deserve you. But I want you back."
"You don't want me back, Robert. Your conscience is just killing you and I'm not going to take you back just to end up hating myself for letting this happen again."
