i was watching desire and ended up spending like 30 minutes just looking at pictures of the yan'an east road interchange. all bc of the 2 second clip of it as a transition.
i recognised it, but couldn't remember the name, other than knowing it's a stack interchange in Shanghai. so naturally i managed to find out exactly which interchange it is within 5 minutes and proceeded to just look at pictures of it for another 20 minutes.
its just so fucking beautiful. maybe one of the best looking interchanges on the planet. made even more so by including pedestrian infrastructure. disappointed it doesn't have its own wikipedia page, it deserves one for being one of 3 six-level stacks in the world.
anyway can anyone tell i used to hyperfixate on road infrastructure and on interchange design in particular. cities skylines my beloved (haven't played in ages but it lives forever in my brain).
