#3807 - Grevillea olivacea - Olive Grevillea
The specific epithet refers to the resemblance of the leaves to those of the European Olive.
Rare and nearly endangered, and endemic to the SW coastal areas of the country. So finding it growing behind my employer's warehouse down in Picton in an industrial area is a bit surprising. I have a suspicion it was part of an informal hedge - apparently it's a hardy ornamental, growing up to 4.5m high, and doing best in sand over limestone. If that's the case it'd probably do well in my yard in Wellard.
First formally described in 1966 by Australian botanist Alex George, from specimens collected opposite Snag Island.

Today Steve and I headed over to St Boniface's Church, Bunbury, CW6 9PE, for hand-in day for Inspire26, a display and sale of art and flowering plants!
It's open 26th to 28th June, noon till 5pm on Friday, 10am till 5pm on Saturday and 10am till 4pm on Sunday!

Today, I was framing and labelling my pieces for the group exhibitions coming up in Bunbury and Stockton Heath!
I like to use bright white mounts and frames, as they'll go with just about any decor and set off my art beautifully, and I like to make them ready-to-hang super easily with D-rings and picture framing cord too!
