I need to hire some *Philadelphia* artists!
I'm looking for a couple POC artist/illustrators to work with me on a science education project. The caveat is that they have to live in a River Ward district(Kenzo, Fishtown, Port Richmond, etc) because of who's funding this work. Anyone interested can email me some examples of their work (an instagram or website works) at SkypeAScientist at gmail dot com. This project will be focusing on animals that live along the NJ coast. We can offer $500 to illustrate the front of a coaster, depicting either a cownose ray or ctenophore, dealers choice.
There will be 3 designs total. The unifying design that will be on all the coasters (above) was created by @seanmartorana. These coasters will be distributed to bars throughout the river wards in the summer of 2023! The artists name or handle/logo/etc will go on the back, and we'll post about this project on social media repeatedly, always tagging the artists!
Please pass along to any Philadelphia artists. I'm going to have some other projects coming up soon that we'll need artists for too. Ideally also in the river wards but those are a little less stringent depending on funding source.
