“Are we there yet?”

“Look out!” Killian shouted pushing the stranger to the ground, she murmured an incantation and pulled a metal dumpster across the ally to block in incoming fire ball. A few members of her family had found them, Killian and her brother had no choice but to fight but perhaps should have been more careful, but the kid had popped up seemingly out of nowhere.

“Stay down.” Killian whispered frantically, the stranger couldn’t have been more than 20 years old. She re-joined her brother in his fight, her role was more defensive than Petyr’s offensive earth magic.

“Kill we need to go, now.” her brother shouted as he summoned a wall of thorns to block the ally, cutting of them from the people after them.

Layla yawned as she entered the cafe. She was exhausted and very nervous about school starting up. She sat down at a booth and then picked up a menu. It wasn’t too crowded which was surprising since the cafe was adorable with old fashioned tables, booths, and chairs. It also had a jukebox off to one side. 

A waitress came over to her and she ordered herself a sandwich and a piece of chocolate cake. She watched as the waitress left. Just then a man entered the cafe and her eyes were drawn to him instantly. Something about his aura was alluring to her. She blushed slightly as her mind began to run wild. 

     Upon arriving from his lunch hour, his assistant would kindly let him know that his next appointment was already waiting for him in his office. Alice smiled upon hearing the doors opening, but waited until they’d been closed again to swivel the very comfortable chair around and look over her boyfriend from behind his desk. 

“Good afternoon, Mister Yamazaki.” She told him in her business-woman voice, removing the hat and the sunglasses that perfectly accompanied the very high fashion outfit and made it so she was unrecognizable within his company, thus protecting the privacy of their relationship while allowing her to literally pencil herself into his schedule. 

“Takeshi.”

Michael spoke the taller males name, placing his fingertips on his boyfriends chest as he looked up at him. “I want to go on a date sometime.. Can we?”

It’s not like he was sulking or anything...

Okay, yeah he was sulking, but he had a reason to.

It had been a month since they first slept together while sober, and they had slept together many times and had gotten quite close personally.. But Toma hadn’t any idea  what their relationship even was.

Was Masaaki even interested in him romantically? Or was his interest purely sexual? He had already gotten dumped by his kind of boyfriend that was already ignoring him for awhile and Masaaki hadn’t really shown any sort of interest since then, or made any moves..

Letting out a small sigh, the small male pulled his legs up on the couch with him, his pants covering most of his feet as they had been too big. His hands holding his warm mug full of coffee securely, enjoying the warmth as he used it to distract himself from the fact that he really was sulking.. On the inside.

As Nina lifted the bucket out of the lake after filling it with water, she turned her head to look behind her. The sound of a horse was nearby, which was odd because.. There were no horses here, nobody could afford them. They all were dead or sold off.

This meant that there were probably bandits coming to try to raid the village. So far she had been able to drive them off as she was actually healthy and could fight unlike the others in the poorer villages. But she wasn’t there right now of course.. She had been gathering water to tend to the ill.

“..Shit.” She muttered, setting the bucket down at the edge of the lake before standing from her crouching position, hand resting on the slightly rusted sword at her hip. Traveling as fast as she possibly could towards the sound of the horse, she managed to catch up-- Only due to the fact that it was walking instead of running.

Staring out from hidden behind a tree, she quickly took notice of the male that was on the horse, he wasn’t dirty or in old, ripped up clothing. He looked far too clean to be from of one of the neighboring villages, let alone a bandit.

“Halt!”

Nina spoke loud in firm in her masculine tone as she ran out from her cover, standing a slight ways away from the male and the horse, hand still remaining near the hilt of her sword.

It had been.. Too long. Over a year since he last had been able to see Hisoka-- His wonderful, normal, human boyfriend.

The last thing he was ever able to do before the magic school had been put on lock down was manage to send his cat Blueberry over to the other males house, it barely made it though.. And he had no chance to give any explanation. 

For the past year him and the other surviving students had been trapped inside the school, under lock down as the head master and other students had started becoming corrupt, tainted by demons and possessing them to summon dark creatures. The only way to contain the monsters was to put everything inside the school in a magical barrier. He was lucky, they hadn’t been able to kill everyone and everything inside the school for some reason.

Having to help the other students like him, his magic had gone from the worst in the school to one of the best of the remaining students, after all if your life is on the line.. You have to be good to not die.

He was free now.. Barely of course, he knew that if he ever returned to that town he would be locked up with the rest of the students for who knows how long. All he could even think of was if his boyfriend was still waiting.. Yuri knew he probably wouldn’t be, but he was still hoping that somehow he couldn’t forget him.. Just as he was unable to forget.

Upon finding out that he was still a tutor, he had signed up to be tutored by him, just as he had the first time they met.. Hoping that it would spark something inside the man.

Sitting on one of the desks, he stared down at his lap. Yu’s arms and legs were still wrapped in bandages from the wounds he had gotten, but he didn’t care about waiting for them to heal before he sought out Hisoka. His fingers gripped tightly onto the edge of the desk, squeezing it before releasing it repeatedly, waiting anxiously for the moment he got to see him again.
