Listening to the familiar voice only added to the excitement Cookie had from the sound of the key on the door. With quick perky steps, the blond rushed to the being he treasured most in this chaotic and vast world he had found himself in. Unfamiliar human arms ( for his dog nature ) spread widely, bright smile contouring his features. “Ibuki !!! Welcome back !!” Exclaimed happily and swiftly hugged the petite male, slightly picking him up to swing him around gently. “I missed you ! How was your trip ? Did you have fun ? Is your family okay ?” The questions mixed with his excitement for the other, were exploding like fireworks.

There was absolutely no resistance in receiving the hug, and even being twirled around so much by the taller male. After all, Ibuki was just as excited to see him, despite not showing it in the same way Cookie did.

Their height differences made it so that Michael was perfectly hidden on the passenger side of the car as they stretched, making Takeshi’s smile turn into something like a frown, the corners of his mouth twitching downwards with displeasure. Out of his sight for all of five seconds and he’s already antsy– how the hell did Michael put up with him?

Hands in fists against his hips as he bent from side to side, hoping to ease some of the tension in his lower back, he finally spotted the smaller male coming around the back of the car to stand in front of him with an expecting look in his eyes. “Hm? Oh, yeah. Might need to do that… I’ll grab the bags, you go check in. I’ll meet you by the front desk.” Ruffling his boyfriend’s two-toned hair as he slipped past him, Takeshi headed for the trunk, popping it open and beginning to unload.

“Okay.” He muttered softly as his hair was ruffled up, causing it to look even messier than it already had due to him not brushing it in the morning. The people were going to think he looked absolutely horrid, but at this point he didn’t care as much as he should.

As Takeshi headed towards the back of the car, Michael took it upon himself to start towards the entrance. Checking in itself wasn’t difficult or scary for him, since he was used to doing things on his own due to his grandparents not babying him as he got older.. What did get to him though, was when one of the ladies asked if he was visiting with his husband, of whom she assumed the rooms name was under.

“Don’t be such a wimp– staying up later than nine o’clock one time won’t kill you, I promise. Besides, you aren’t supposed to eat right before bed anyways, so we’ll have plenty of time to get in after dinner so long as we don’t do any vigorous swimming.” A grin flashed across his face at his incredibly stupid joke; the chance of them doing any sort of swimming, let alone anything even remotely considered vigorous, was practically impossible at a place like this.

Comfortable silence settled around them for the brief remainder of their ride, Michael’s sudden outburst and the way he all but jerked away from him in order to look enthusiastically out of the passenger side window causing Takeshi to curse in surprise. “Yes,” he breathed, his long exhale punctuated by an equally breathy laugh, “yes, we’re finally here.” Pulling into the parking lot, which was lined with greenery and graceful statues, he parked the car as close to the door as was aloud. “It feels good to stand,” he groaned as he stepped out of the car, stretching his arms above his head in an attempt at soothing his stiff muscles.

“Finally!” He almost yelled as he got out of the car once parked, practically spending a whole minute just stretching his limbs out so he could bounce around to the other side of the car, where Takeshi stood, to stare expectantly up at him.

He chuckled once again at the relieved words breathed from the male sitting next to him– his impatience was somehow endearing, albeit understandable given how long they’ve been sitting in the car. Aside from occasional stops for gas and nourishment, they’ve been on the road nearly all day. “Hey,” he said softly, giving his hand yet another gentle squeeze, “It’ll be worth it once we’re there– and you better believe we’ll be getting in tonight. I haven’t been driving all day to not have a relaxing dip before bed.”

“We still have to check in and eat when we get there you know.” Though, that probably wouldn’t stop Takeshi from dragging him into the springs before they went to bed, no matter how late it was by the time it happened.
