No me acordaba de que Jimmy Bain tocaba en el EP “Animal Justice” (Illegal Records, 1977) de John Cale. “Chicken Shit” es una canción que ha hecho un gran servicio en mis pinchadas, la he puesto habitualmente, un gran comodín cuando la sesión necesitaba irse a territorios recios, secos y cortantes. Grabada en los Chalk Farm Studios de Londres, es una muestra del John Cale más punk, muy bien acompañado de Bain, el batería Kevin Currie (Orange Bicycle, Cold Turkey, Supertramp, Burlesque); Bruce Brody (Patti Smith Group) en el moog y Ritchie Fliegler (Genya Ravan, Tom Verlaine, Peter Baumann) en la guitarra solista. El disco se completaba con una versión correcta de “Memphis” de Chuck Berry y con la larga y buena “Hedda Gabbler”. Leo en internet que grabaron en aquella sesión 2 temas más: "Jack the Ripper (In the Moulin Rouge)" y "Ton Ton Macoute", que quedaron inéditas. J.Viernes.
