#yu-gi-oh!#yu-gi-oh! shitpost #rishid #odion #mr ishtar #hank ishtar #the onion #onion headlines #rishid is such an under-discussed character tho like holy shit #we have to stop acting like he's got an equal relationship with his family. isis too but in a different sense #like marik and rishid can say ''yeah ur like my brother'' all they want but it's wishful thinking on both their parts #they do not have a brotherly relationship. that's not either of their faults or anything but it's true #rishid and marik both view rishid as less than and subservient to marik bc they were both raised to view him that way #rishid enables marik and is at the same time one of marik's victims. marik treats him like shit. has for a while #it's not a healthy relationship bc it can't be. they can make it one and i think they will with time but i hate how boring people make it #even before marik was born - before isis was born - rishid was in the ''shadow'' of a (real) son who didn't exist yet #he is by no choice of his own trapped in a family that he both is and is not a part of. he's an outsider who can't leave #none of these means the love they have for each other isn't real btw it very much is. but it's not simple #rishid so often gets reduced to nothing more than an extension of marik by fans which is exhausting bc that's literally his trauma #rishid has never had the chance to be his own person and does not know how to do that and the fandom isn't helping #begging y'all to please please PLEASE let rishid be his own person ok please he's been through enough
