Yeah, this definitely follows the same pattern of the other donation scam posts, such as only linking to Paypal for fundraising, using photos of Filipino individuals in hospital, claiming to need money to pay for dialysis treatment, the blog being brand new and only having one entry that happens to be a fundraising post, etc. There isn't a ton of information to go on, so there could be the possibility that this person is genuine and just happens to meet a lot of the red flags that other scam posts (unlikely imo), but I would exercise caution and probably wouldn't donate personally.

yesss nova funny o5-4 “the supernova”! no one is entirely sure why shes there, shes mildly antimemetic so its unclear what her former position was (she did legitimately rise through the foundation ranks to her council position). she’s very good at being a person to bounce ideas off of, often just listening and asking probing questions to other overseers when theyre stuck on something

Hey, thanks for reaching out! I just tried checking out their account, but it looks like they've deactivated. The fact that they've deactivated so quickly, and the fact that they've been contacting people randomly on Tumblr (presumably to ask for donations/reblogs?), has me pretty certain this was probably another donation scam. It sucks having to be extra cautious, but I think you made the right call given how common these sorts of scams are these days.

we thought it was a shitty fan song too at first tbh but we had this like moment of mounting horror as we remembered the time like. five months ago when almost every single youtube cover artist we liked destroyed what sliver of respect we had for them by covering the hazmat hotel official image song "addict" (thus incidentally alerting us to its existence) and we looked up the song to like double check and . 😔
