“Creator funding has been paused.” - verification scam

“Pls kindly go to this link to verify.” - verification scam

“Insulin is $300 nt asking for a windfall” - donation scam

“Need medicine to prevent lungs collapsing.” - donation scam

“Nose freezes and asthma” - donation scam

“DM me if commission open.” - Commission scam

If you’ve heard the situation that happened with @murderbot , it seems the scammer is now trying to find someone else to help them. The account to watch out for is “0ammarfmily” as it is linked the same scam. The account was initially abandoned and has recently become active again.

The gist of this that while there may be a real family under that name out there the account has been impersonating them and taking advantage of someone’s kindness. I do not generally callout fundraising accounts but I was personally asked to make a warning about it. The post that explains everything has the reblogs turned off in order to prevent people using it as an excuse to call every Palestine account a scammer so I will not link it here.

If you use this post to call every Palestine fundraiser a scam you will be publicly shown for everyone’s blocklist as I don’t tolerate nonsense over here and have no desire to argue with people who refuse to do any research. I’ll post screenshots with what I was told:

I reached out to one of the people in the notes about my previous warning post the other day, which I usually try to do with accounts I can’t tag directly in my posts, and they asked me to find the scam they rb’ed so they could take it down. I didn’t actually see the scammer’s blog name in any of their recent posts, so I tried to search for the name “honesttalonmedallion” on tumblr jic I missed something. The manual search brought be nowhere, so I thought they just deleted the blog. But I still have the ask they sent in my email’s trash, and clicking the name in that email led to a blog that was still active. Turns out, I found the post I was asked to find pretty easily on my first try, but I didn’t realize that I actually found it bc the scammer has since changed their name to “emptyghoultiger”, and they changed their pfp as well

Despite knowing that the email I have redirects to “emptyghoultiger’s” page, I didn’t want to accidentally accuse a real person in need of being a scammer, so I looked into both the new pfp and the artist tag that can be seen in the first image of OP’s pinned post

Here’s what I found:

As I mentioned, OP’s new stolen pfp belongs to someone named Megan, who runs the Twitter page “Meg The Disability Activist” (@4WheelBaddie). She’s been on Twitter since last February, while OP’s blog has been active for less than a month, which is a common trend among scam accounts (always check how recent a blog is if you think it’s a scam!). Further more, Megan has many posts on her page that link to her chuffed fundraiser for donations for her coronary artery disease, while OP claims to need insulin. Why insulin? Why not just say they need money for coronary artery disease like Megan, when they went as far as stealing her photo and her Twitter bio nearly word for word?

Well, not only are insulin donation scams pretty common, but it also links back to the aforementioned artist tag, which belongs to @starscheme

StarScheme, whose own blog dates back a few years, has a PayPal and a Ko-fi for their insulin fund, yet neither page links back to the donation page (which belongs to “Josephine” and has no pertinent info in the “about” section, btw) linked in OP’s pinned post

I’ve already made a warning post about this scammer once before, back in 2024 (Ik they’re the same person bc even though it’s spelled differently, the name in OP’s PayPal is eerily similar to the one they used back in 2024):

So, instead of rehashing all the red flags that I spotted like I usually do, I’ll just urge you to read my previous posts and take note of the names the scammers use, as well as this particular pfp, moving forward

As always, never trust a donation post linked to a PayPal account unless said link has been verified by a trusted source

are you able to delete their scam from your blog, or clearly label it as a scam so it doesn't spread to others? remember you can use the tumblr search box to search the username/paypal account name/text used by people asking for money to check if they’ve been proven to be a scammer

sublimefortressseed says their husband was killed, but this instagram post https://www.instagram.com/p/DT8LWZ9jLSW/ says Samah Afane is raising her children with her husband Ihab Afane. he’s even in the pictures sublimefortressseed stole, holding their baby.

they say they are #465 on gazavetters’ list but they are not. #465 is a chuffed fundraiser for a different family, not the paypal account under the name Ayrah Daniel that sublimefortressseed is linking. there is no Samah Shaheen nor Ayrah Daniel on gazavetters’ list.

and my first instinct was to copy the text and search, just in case that it might be a scam.... and I was right. So many people received and shared the submission (why through submission though? 🤔).

This person has many different accounts (they're all deactivated and i don't even wanna know how many are there) to send the same messages. Didn't even bother to change the blog appearance.

I looked through the blog. Nothing special, just reblogged posts of animals and art (this account was created on may 24, according to archive) until i saw the pinned post.

What a weird image to use to talk about cervical cancer. Imagine talking about serious health issue while doing the yuno gasai pose 😭 and the AI generated slop is so obvious. There's a link to a paypal account under the name Stacy Amondi (i thought your name was bethy???). Not even gofundme.
