Reposted from (katsuutv) Last night we lost a battle. The state of Alabama executed Nate Woods, a man who had reasonable doubt and new evidence. Today I am absolutely saddened and heartbroken. I woke up discouraged, outraged, disgusted, and ultimately feeling defeated that we lost this fight. The governor, Kaye Ivey, had her mind made up and refused to even take a call from one of the victim's sister!!! Did she not care that there was new evidence? Did she not care about her people? This is a modern day lynching and there is nothing that can be said to make this right. Nate, I'm sorry that we failed you. I'm sorry that your country failed you. I'm sorry that you even had to go through this. From the moment I read your story, my gut felt something for you. I instantly knew that there was no way this could've been on purpose.
