Não consigo entender, e não tenho certeza se quero entender. Não posso acreditar que Derek Shepherd morreu. Ele era o bom. Ele acreditava no verdadeiro amor e almas gêmeas.

Why the way McDreamy died and how Patrick Dempsey's exit panned out is bothering me
This is my opinion, obviously I understand everyone will have different views and opinions on this subject, I just wanted to vent and this felt like a great place to do it! ;) So, I've been contemplating this for a little while. I, like a lot of others, was in bits at the death of McDreamy. I have loved Derek as a character since day one and his watching the progression of his relationship with Meredith through everything was such an experience to watch. As for Patrick Dempsey himself, he is quite obviously grateful to his fans and has appreciated his years working on Grey's Anatomy. And it's because of all of these points I am quite angry and disappointed with the way McDreamy's death happened and how the response to Patrick leaving from other cast members and Shonda. Now, obviously, no matter what happened, the death of such a big character like Derek was always going to have an impact on most fans of the show. However, I feel as if the way he died was one gigantic slap in the face for his character as well as the fans of the show. All of the time we, the fans, spent watching him build up a relationship that most of us invested a lot of time on and watching him enjoy and further his career as a neurosurgeon and that's the goodbye we get??? The things that bother me about the way he died are the following: 1. Derek's character is a doctor, a surgeon. He had dealt with all sorts of accidents and injuries due to various different situations. He is more than aware of how to keep safe and to prevent accidents from occurring because of common sense as well as witnessing the consequences of what happens if someone is not safe. So why oh why we he decide, after witnessing a car accident as well, to start driving his car, leave it in the middle of the road and go to answer his phone?? Derek, as well as most other people in the world, has a lot more common sense than that! 2. Why was there a signal all of a sudden on his phone ? There was absolutely no signal where he was originally driving and helping those involved in the accident. Someone involved in the accident even said there is never really ever a signal in that area! And then, conveniently, he starts to drive away from the exact same area he has been the whole duration of the episode and voila! His phone rings! And oh look here comes a truck!! :/ 3. Which leads me on to my next annoyance. There was absolutely no traffic throughout the whole time everyone was dealing with the car accident!! Then all of a sudden a truck appears as Derek decides to stop to answer his phone! :/ 4. I know that Derek needed to get to DC for his meeting and to resign his position there, but as a doctor, and knowing his character and his personality, why didn't he accompany the people injured in the accident? 5. Why oh why was he, as well as those injured in the previous accident, taken to a non-trauma hospital?? With injuries they sustained, and the actual cause of the accident, surely they should have been taken to Grey Sloan Memorial or even another hospital that is equipped to deal with such trauma! 6. The doctors that dealt with Derek. The way they dealt with him was absolutely disgusting! And yes, the woman doctor should have put her foot down a bit more, but there was only so much she could do against those who saw themselves with more authority! It's them who should be more ashamed of themselves! And that neurosurgeon who finished his dinner first, when on call as well, should be stripped of everything to do with him being a doctor! Absolutely disgusting, and not something that would happen in real life! 7. Derek loved Meredith, his children and his family more than anything. So why did he not really think of them at all when he knew he was going to die? Derek would immediately think about how much he loves them, and I stick by that faithfully. 8. I think Ellen Pompeo did very well with what she was given to work with in terms of how she was handling Derek's accident and death. However I feel the material and directions she was given were quite poor. Meredith's reaction to Lexie's death was absolutely heartbreaking! And I know that situation of the plane crash already had emotions running extremely high, but I still expected, after 10 years and 11 season, a bit more of an emotional impact and reaction from her. He was the love of her life and her other person! 9. Why wasn't Amelia and Derek's other sisters and mother called to be there to make the decision alongside Meredith and to say her own goodbye? I know this is covered in later episodes but it still bugs me! I'm not even gonna get started on what I though of Derek's 30 second funeral and the episode after his death because I wasn't particularly happy with that either! Again, all of the actors did well with what they were given but I feel like the episode meant to be how everyone is coping after the news of Derek's death had barely any mentions or reactions to it. That's just a personal opinion though. As for the reaction to Patrick Dempsey's exit, I feel like her deserved a lot more from Shonda and his co-stars from over the 10 years. I loved Christina and was absolutely gutted when I found out Sandra Oh Was leaving but I feel like if you compare different cast members interviews, words and reactions to Sandra leaving and Patrick leaving, there is quite a difference. I didn't even see any thank you's from Shonda for his time as McDreamy (unless I missed them which is possible) or any real acknowledgment towards Patrick from his co-stars. After the time, care and effort he put in to the character of Derek Shepherd, I feel like that must of been such a horrible feeling for him. He even said in an interview no-one was even on the set to say goodbye to him when he filmed his last scenes! He just drove off and that was it! Ten years and that is all Patrick gets! I know there's rumours about Patrick being a diva, and Shonda being this and that, but those sorts of things are between them and nothing to do with us but I really feel, that despite any differences that may have occurred, Patrick and McDreamy deserved so much better after 10 years!! Ok rant over! Sorry about that! Like I said this is just my opinion and I'm more than aware people may disagree with me and that is more than fair 😊
